Meet Kimberly Clark

Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Kimberly Clark. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Hi Kimberly , thank you so much for opening up with us about some important, but sometimes personal topics. One that really matters to us is overcoming Imposter Syndrome because we’ve seen how so many people are held back in life because of this and so we’d really appreciate hearing about how you overcame Imposter Syndrome.

I overcame imposter syndrome by realizing that my story was mine to tell. Noone could tell my story the way that I could and there were people that needed to hear my story only the way that I tell it. I had to realize that I overcame for a reason and that reason, in part, was to prevent others who were still suffering from having to experience all the sacrifices it took just to learn one lesson.

Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?

Looking back, qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful on my journey has been emotional intelligence, investing in myself to learn how to build a successful speaking business, and my faith. Learning about Emotional Intelligence while going through EMDR therapy to heal my trauma was the best decision I’ve ever made. It opened the door for me to truly learn about myself and practice some acceptance in areas of my life that had me bound. When I started telling my story, it was just that, I didn’t think about forming a business around it but investing In a skillset you want to learn and use to grow as a person is Elite. My faith has been the biggest part of my journey and is also the reason I’ve been sober almost 4 years now. It was definitely God and applying biblical principles to my life that took me from rock bottom to center stage.

Awesome, really appreciate you opening up with us today and before we close maybe you can share a book recommendation with us. Has there been a book that’s been impactful in your growth and development?

The Weight Is Over by Bishop Rasby G Mason, II has played a major role in my life because after getting sober, I gained Over 50lbs and it added to my already low self esteem that i was struggling to build confidence. This book not only helps you understand the different body types and the best practices for each one but it also explains so simply the importance of a healthy diet and creating healthy habits while also tieing in biblical principles to back it all up. One of my favorite quotes from this book is, Dont believe the Tale the Scale tells. We can get so caught up in watching the scale when we are on a weight loss journey or lifestyle change that we completely miss the 2-3 sizes we are moving down in clothing. This book also does a wonderful job of tieing in how our emotional health is tied to our physical health. Not to mention, The Weight Is Over was written by someone who lost Over 30olbs, the old fashioned way, had maintained it, and he shares everything from workout routines to diet tips as well as scriptures to speak over your life on a daily basis to help you along your jouney. It is inspiring, empowering, relatable, honest, and hard to put down once you start.
