We were lucky to catch up with Angela Vaughn recently and have shared our conversation below.
Alright, so we’re so thrilled to have Angela with us today – welcome and maybe we can jump right into it with a question about one of your qualities that we most admire. How did you develop your work ethic? Where do you think you get it from?
GO HARD OR GO HOME! I live by this statement in everything that I do. My parents showed me at a young age to always go for what you want and to never take no for an answer, there is always another way.
My father, Anthony always worked from sun up to sun down my entire life to ensure that myself and my brothers, TJ and Chris had what we needed and wanted. That drive that my father showed is what the same work ethic that I have today.
Sometimes giving it all you have for your loved ones, in my case my two children, Jalen and Dorian is the only drive that you need. No matter how tired I am, a mothers job is never done.
My parents are a constant reminder and motivation that proves success is not given, it is earned. Continue to work hard and earn your stripes.
Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
Determination. Dedication. Drive.
Know that everything is not what it seems to be. If you want anything bad enough, you will fight for it until it is achieved. Always look at the bigger picture and think outside of the box.
Work hard now so that you can reap the benefits later. Having faith in the Lord throughout all things good or bad will prosper. Faith without works is dead.
All the wisdom you’ve shared today is sincerely appreciated. Before we go, can you tell us about the main challenge you are currently facing?
I was diagnosed with PTSD in 2022. The challenges that I face is being an outgoing people person who struggles daily with anxiety. The obstacles that I face with being a young black business woman does not add anything easier to the mix.
I stay consistent with seeking therapy and working on my business keeps me pre occupied. I look at things like this, stay the course and trust the process!
