Meet Jessica Snyder

Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Jessica Snyder. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Hi Jessica, thank you so much for opening up with us about some important, but sometimes personal topics. One that really matters to us is overcoming Imposter Syndrome because we’ve seen how so many people are held back in life because of this and so we’d really appreciate hearing about how you overcame Imposter Syndrome.

I remember when I first felt the push to start my women’s coaching platform. I was so excited and inspired, my brain was filled with ideas, but I wasn’t quite sure where to start. My husband had gone to school for business and gave me some tips to look at the market, see what else was out there, what was similar, successful, and how it was being done. Believing someone with a degree had the answers, I set off to research only to find myself lost, confused, defeated, and uninspired. I felt like the market was saturated, it was already being done by experts, and I thought “who was I to coach women in all these things.” It felt out of alignment trying to be someone else or do something like someone else. I paused and took a little break, but the push felt stronger and I knew in my heart that I had to continue, that there was still a need for what I had to offer, and that giving up would be a disservice to my future clients. I followed this message. Instead of doing what I “thought” I should do, I leaned in to what I “felt” I should do. That was the biggest shift for me. Out of my mind and into my heart – my intuition. I began to realize that my offerings were special and different from someone else’s because they come from me, they come from my own expertise, my own set of experiences, my own gifts, and nobody else can provide that because nobody else is me. I realized the power in my gifts and what sets me apart. I wrote down all the ways I could help women, what I felt passionate about, and why my offerings would sell, why women would want to hire me, and I began to believe. Believing in your path is where the magic lies and it’s learning how to break molds in a world that has taught us to stay within the box created for us. Now, I have the beautiful opportunity to guide women and teach them how to do the same. Working with female entrepreneurs in this capacity is such a transformative experience to witness them step into their power, embrace their gifts, and believe in their offerings & it sells. We feel when we’re being sold to and we feel ingenuity. People care more about who you are, your authenticity and love for your work, they feel the energy you carry, and recognize the journey of how you got to where you are, and they choose to work with you because of who YOU are.

Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?

With my background as a labor and delivery nurse and now a mom of (almost) three, I developed a burning passion for holistic women’s wellness where I’ve been embracing my gifts for the last decade and have created a large range of potent offerings.

My multi-passionate feminine embodiment work stretches from women devoting to personal growth through mentorship to guiding women on their journeys from fertility through birth to navigating the complexities of motherhood.

Our fertility guides help women bring their hormones back into balance, prepare their bodies for pregnancy, and optimize their chances of quicker conception. This coupled with the individual mentorship has proven to help women tremendously.

I also have an intuition guided & intervention educated birth coaching program for women to safely advocate for themselves and deeply trust their bodies through birth.

As you can tell, I truly am multi-passionate and love working with women in a variety of ways. I love curating programs for my clients to perfectly fit their unique needs and goals because I don’t subscribe to a one size fits all approach.

I am a certified life and wellness coach, a registered nurse, an NLP practitioner, a certified yoga instructor, an intuitive energy worker, a retreat holder, and a plant medicine facilitator. I love creating safe and sacred spaces that allow for deep healing and lasting transformation.

Based in the Bay Area, California, I host local workshops, have retreats for women looking for a deeper journey of self-discovery, self-awareness, and living in true alignment, and will be hosting a new online course as well as offering a membership program.

One of my mentorship offerings is coming to you in course form! This one is for female entrepreneurs to learn how to maximize productivity through cycle alignment and how to use personal and collective energy to plan for events and launches and so much more.

The upcoming membership is a wildly expansive offering for women who are ready to move through their traumas, remove blocks that stand in their way, uncover their most authentic selves, and embody the vibration of their desires, bringing to fruition all that they’ve been calling in.

If you resonate with this work or feel called to one of the offerings, book a call with me! Let’s explore how I can best support you and discover what kind of program we can orchestrate to meet your goals. It truly is my honor!

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?

Something I deeply value is authenticity. It’s a quality that brings so much power to someone’s work, yet it’s a deep-seated fear that requires uncovering to remove the limits, beliefs, and blocks we have around what it would be like if we were to truly show up in our own authentic expression and just be us. Once this is unlocked, there’s a weight lifted off our shoulders, a lightness, a newfound freedom that allows us to spread our wings and confidently fly in the direction of our dreams. It’s a transformation that I experienced and one that I love to guide my clients through.

Tangible tool: Write down the version of you that you love the most that you want to embody more of – what is she like? What energy does she possess? How does she carry herself? How does she use her voice? What are the traits you love most about her? What does it feel like when you express yourself in that way? Describe her in detail then begin to uncover the ways in which you’re kept small and bring awareness to any resistance you experience to embodying her all the time.

A skill I have strengthened that has proven to be the biggest gift is listening to my intuition. I have a strong intuition and I would go to say that we all do – we just haven’t been taught how to listen to that small voice, how to identify it, how to create a relationship with it. This is another big piece to building self-trust in life, in motherhood, in entrepreneurship. Living in an era where the internet is constantly at our fingertips has taught us to search for answers outside of ourselves, when in reality, we have so many answers within us that requires learning to tap into. When you have that close bond and trust with your intuition, things begin to magically unfold for you and you are easily guided on a path that continues to bring more abundance and blessings. It’s a skill that is a daily practice and takes time to build, but gosh has it been a guiding light.

Tangible tool: Observe the little, soft voice. What does it share with you? What happens when you don’t listen? Do you ever think to yourself, “I should do that” or “I should bring that” and then don’t just to realize your thought was correct. Well sometimes it’s much bigger than that, sometimes it’s a missed opportunity when the little voice leads to something we don’t follow. It’s a subtle nudge that over time can feel like a push. As you observe, you begin to notice and create a relationship. This is just the tip of the iceberg of strengthening that trust with your inner knowing, your divine guidance, your higher self, your connection to spirit, source, god, however you see it fit.

One more area of knowledge that has been game changing in my journey is cycle alignment. This is something I talk about often, host workshops on, have 1:1 mentorship for, and teach women how to incorporate these practices into their lives to maximize productivity and learn which tasks to schedule during which parts of their menstrual cycle to feel most aligned and avoid pushing to the point of burnout. When I learned that the m-f 9-5 work week was based on a man’s 24-hour hormone cycle, I was floored. Of course! Because women weren’t in the workforce then, but now we are.. and we have been since the mid 1800s! Yet, our day to day work does not match our 28(ish) day cycles and the many changes we experience throughout the month. It’s no wonder that women have a harder time feeling motivated and energized enough to do the same workout every day, or to work with the same consistency every single day, and struggle to find work-life-home balance because we are constantly living out of alignment with what our bodies feel as supportive. What if we were able to sync our lives up with what our bodies are feeling? Wow! Wouldn’t that be life changing? Let me tell you – it is! Join me on the journey in living more aligned, tuning into your body, and recognizing what you can do to merge your current life with these new, supportive practices.

Tangible tool: Start with identifying the four phases of your cycle – menstrual, follicular, ovulatory, and luteal. Then, keep a simple log with just a word or two for each day describing your mood/energy level. After a couple months, you may begin to notice some predictable changes you experience throughout your cycle allowing you to anticipate what you may be needing to support you during a certain time of your month.

Lesson learned from all of the above – you can absolutely turn your own experiences into a strength to coach and help other people navigate the journeys you’ve already been on and had to learn the hard way, so they don’t have to.

Before we go, maybe you can tell us a bit about your parents and what you feel was the most impactful thing they did for you?

As a daughter of immigrants who traveled to the United States with nothing but a suitcase and $100 each, they taught me the meaning of gratitude and a hard work ethic. Before them, the generation of my grandparents and great grandparents was a time where they had very little. They had to find work for the day to be able to put food on the table that night. They lived during war time where they lost and fought for everything. They struggled, they lived in survival mode, but they never stopped. And by way of their generational trauma as well as their generational gifts, my lineage was defined. My parents broke a mold, left their home country, and moved across the world to pursue a life they could only dream of providing for their family. This has never gone unnoticed for me and I have always appreciated the sacrifices my parents had to make in order for us to be raised in a completely different environment than what was previous experienced. We had a household full of love, fond family memories, vacations and travels, we were raised to understand the value of quality time over material possessions, and we were given so much more due to their fearlessness and willingness to be bold. I will forever take those lessons with me and am incredibly grateful for the many ways my parents showed up for me and shaped me into who I am today.
