We recently connected with Bryce Owens (bo3) and have shared our conversation below.
Bryce, we’re thrilled to have you on our platform and we think there is so much folks can learn from you and your story. Something that matters deeply to us is living a life and leading a career filled with purpose and so let’s start by chatting about how you found your purpose.
I found my purpose by finding myself. I did this by being myself and understanding that I was put on this earth to create. I chose to create by being musical. Music to me is a place of comfort and it has always been there for me. Music provides emotional, physical, and spiritual support. Without it, I feel that life is tasteless.

Let’s take a small detour – maybe you can share a bit about yourself before we dive back into some of the other questions we had for you?
I am a music artist. 3Mafia is my brand. I am from Jackson, TN. I graduated from the University of Memphis with my Bachelor’s in Music Industry. I have been doing music seriously for about 3 years now, but I have been writing songs since high school. I used to be in the school band from middle to high school. My instrument of choice was trumpet. I can read and compose music as well. My goal in my music career is to be my best self and to make my audience feel. I want them to understand that they are not alone for feeling how they feel and it is okay to feel. Rather that’s being happy, overwhelmed, goofy, depressed, etc.. At the end of the day we are all human, at times we may forget but that’s where I come in. I write down how I feel and I make music out of it. In hopes of connecting with my audience. My latest project is “In Tres We Trust”. I am currently working on a single called “IDWD”. Be on the look out for that, I will be posting the drop date soon on my socials.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
My big three are as follows: Having perspective, Being true to self, and Having gratitude. You have to learn how to view things outside of your perspective, change the lens to fully understand. Being true to yourself means don’t ever go against yourself, trust yourself. Also, you have to be appreciative of all things in your life, things could be way worse than what they are. You must show gratitude. Without those three, life can be worst than what it is. My advice to people on their journey is the same as my big three. Learning those three things early on can change so much in your life, in ways you can’t imagine. Once you realized that, you can actually start living.

Alright so to wrap up, who deserves credit for helping you overcome challenges or build some of the essential skills you’ve needed?
My team 3Mafia, my family. Without them I would not be as far as I am today. They believed in me when I didn’t believe in myself and that alone speaks volume. I truly am grateful for them and I love them whole heartedly. Shout out 1600tripp$, Esmod, Mazi, Rasta, MC3, Kai, Rell, Mike, Meli, Kyla, Evie, Lex, KC, Al, Mo, and Fresh.
