Meet Sharnell Hall

We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Sharnell Hall. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Sharnell below.

Sharnell, we can’t begin to explain how much we appreciate you sharing about your PPD experience, but we can say that so many in our community are suffering from or have suffered from postpartum issues including postpartum depression and so you sharing your story and how you overcame it might help someone who is going through it right now or in the future. What can you share with us about how you overcame PPD? For readers, please note this is not medical advice, we are not doctors, you should always consult professionals for advice and that this is merely one person sharing their story and experience.

After struggling with postpartum depression, I found my way back by picking up a paintbrush one day. Painting became my escape, a way to express what I couldn’t put into words. It gave me purpose and helped me heal. Creating art has been a powerful journey of rediscovering myself.

Let’s take a small detour – maybe you can share a bit about yourself before we dive back into some of the other questions we had for you?

My business is all about creating memories, bringing friends and family together, and sharing the joy of making art. We believe in the power of creativity to connect people and make special moments unforgettable.

My business is special because art has a unique ability to bring generations together for a fun and meaningful time. What I love most is seeing how, even with the same set of instructions, everyone’s art turns out differently, reflecting their individual perspectives. It’s a beautiful reminder of how we each see the world in our own way.

Due to the May 10th tornado, we’ve recently relocated from Railroad Square and are in the process of rebuilding our new studio at 1560-4 Capital Circle NW Tallahassee 32303. We’re open daily by appointment and offer open studio sessions every Friday from 5-9 PM. We’re excited to continue creating with you in our new space!

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?

Persistence
Customer Service
Problem Solving

For someone early in their entrepreneurial journey, here’s some key advice:

1. Persistence : Success doesn’t happen overnight. Stay committed to your vision, even when challenges arise. Keep pushing forward, learning from setbacks, and adapting as needed.

2. Customer Service: Your customers are your most valuable asset. Listen to them, understand their needs, and go the extra mile to provide exceptional service. Building strong relationships will set your business apart.

3. Problem Solving Every problem is an opportunity to improve. Approach challenges with a positive mindset, be creative in finding solutions, and don’t be afraid to seek advice or collaborate with others. Developing strong problem-solving skills will help you navigate the ups and downs of entrepreneurship.

Staying focused on these three areas will set a solid foundation for your growth and success.

How would you describe your ideal client?
