Meet Steven & Belynda Davis

We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Steven & Belynda Davis. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Steven & BeLynda below.

Steven & BeLynda, thanks so much for taking the time to share your insights and lessons with us today. We’re particularly interested in hearing about how you became such a resilient person. Where do you get your resilience from?

Ultimately, our resilience comes from our faith. We understand and accept the extremes we may face in life. In many instances, those extremes are far beyond our control. (truth is, they all are). However, we believe in and personally “know” He who is always in complete and total control thus, we find solace in knowing God, the Creator, the Almighty, the Everlasting Father. We have experienced and endured some traumatic events and we are beyond blessed and eternally grateful, God kept and sustained us through them all.

We married very young. As you can imagine, life sank in very early on when we did not effectively communicate and acted in self-interest rather than spouse-interest. We struggled for years with this and it nearly led to he end of our marriage but because of God and our faith in God, we are still here almost twenty-five years later! We got some stories we could share but suffice to say, we’ve grown, learned, and now operate with a profound sense of appreciation for each other and focus on “us” instead of “I.”

Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?

There are so many to choose from but the quality, skill, and area of knowledge most impactful in our journey are; compassion, inspiring, and religious knowledge, respectively.

You see, religious knowledge inspires one to be compassionate for others because you realize God provides you compassion. Inspiration is something that demands action and is not just a fleeting feeling. We developed our inspired2inspire movement for this and other reasons like helping others discover and pursue purpose passionately through inspiration.

Who is your ideal client or what sort of characteristics would make someone an ideal client for you?

Our ideal client is someone who is coachable, willing to put in the work. This individual has a gnawing suspicion they are meant for more than what they see. Humility is critical as we all must realize we don’t know everything so asking for help is not a sign of weakness but rather a sign of strength. This client cannot be afraid of risk. As we say, some are so afraid to fail they will end up a failure. The client should have some level of internal drive toward purpose and if they don’t know their purpose, be willing to explore to discover that purpose and then work to manifest it.
