Hi Diane, thanks for sharing your insights with our community today. Part of your success, no doubt, is due to your work ethic and so we’d love if you could open up about where you got your work ethic from?

Hi, I’m Diane Nacouzi. I’m the owner of Ayoola Braiding Bar in Santa Barbara California.
In my childhood, my parents made clear that if you want to succeed, you have to work hard . My parents value hard work , they taught me that work consistently, punctuality, honestly, professionalism always pay off . I was raised this way , you can’t have anything easy , you have to work hard for and it’s help me a lot today to be consistent and to be very productive. I must thank my parents as they showed me how work hard pay off .

Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?

We are Ayoola Braiding Bar and we are located in Santa Barbara California since 2022. Ayoola Braiding Bar is a hair salon offering braids and natural hair services .
We provide many services that includes locs, braids, twist, cornrows at a fair price . I started this business because I love taking care of people hair . I’m so passionate about braids and I just love how braids look so beautiful when it’s well done .
The success of my business has been and will always be based on paying attention to the details, the many details that ensure quality.
We just extended our business on June 2024 and we opened a Beauty Supply for the community (Ayoola Beauty Supply) so to help the community of Santa Barbara do they don’t have to travel miles away to get their hair extensions and products. I would like to personally invite anyone visiting Santa Barbara to stop by and try our “Best Braids” in Santa Barbara.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?

It’s very critical that if you want to reach your goals , you have to have first self discipline, risk taking, time management and effective communication. So my advice is to have a self discipline, it’s will always help you to get to where you want to be .

Who has been most helpful in helping you overcome challenges or build and develop the essential skills, qualities or knowledge you needed to be successful?

My mom helps me a lot to overcome challenges and build all this essentials skills I have today . She taught me how to stay strong and never discouraged. She taught me that hard work always pay off .
