Meet Liubov Trif

Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Liubov Trif. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Liubov , so great to have you with us and we want to jump right into a really important question. In recent years, it’s become so clear that we’re living through a time where so many folks are lacking self-confidence and self-esteem. So, we’d love to hear about your journey and how you developed your self-confidence and self-esteem.

I think in every profession ,confidence is a big factor in the job.
I am a makeup artist and hair stylist and in my profession, confidence is one of the most important puzzles of a successful look.
Confident master = calm client.
Of course, at the beginning of my journey I was very afraid, I was completely unsure of myself. But, step by step, I overcame my fear and learned from my mistakes. I didn’t get it right away, but I practiced a lot and each time I got better and better.
I remember how afraid I was of arrows and my hands were always shaking when a client asked me to draw them. And I tried, of course it took a long time, but I did it.
The main thing is not to be afraid of your mistakes and failures, because it is normal, the more we work, the more experience and confidence comes to you. And this applies to all areas of life!)
Ask for feedback from your clients and don’t be afraid of criticism, but accept and learn. But, at the same time, you should not let yourself be eaten up from the inside, so that it does not hit your self-esteem, but on the contrary, take it as a challenge and try to be better than everyone else.
It is very important to have people around you who will always support you and say positive words for you.

Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?

My name is Liubov, I am 29 years old and I come from Ukraine from a small but beautiful city of Reni.
Im married and I have a wonderful little son. All my conscious life I wanted to be a teacher of physical education, but fate ordered otherwise. For the 10th year I have been doing my favorite thing and the most beautiful profession, I am a makeup artist and hair stylist. I love what I do and I am currently creating beauty in Spokane , WA. I and my family moved to the USA in June 2022. A little about myself: I love my profession and spend a lot of time learning new techniques, trends and materials to work with. I play sports, volleyball and table tennis are some of my favorite sports games. I love to cook and spoil my family with delicious food.
As I said earlier, I have been in the profession for quite a long time. On my professional path there were many ups and downs and criticism. But I didn’t stop, I learned and went on. I accepted criticism with gratitude, because after it I worked hard to become a better person. At the moment I have a lot of plans that I would like to realize and I am striving for it.
This year I won the international makeup competition in the bridal makeup category (IBI Beauty Awards: Best Bridal makeup 2024) . It’s still like a fairy tale to me. I participated in a contest with incredibly talented craftsmen and each of the entries is worthy of winning.
I love my job and I want to improve my skills even more.
When I do makeup girls, I am always inspired by the individual beauty of each and try to maximize its emphasis, pick up makeup and styling, which are ideal for her. There is no universal recipe for everyone. Every person is special and everyone needs a special makeup, even if it is a nude makeup, it also needs to be made especially beautiful.
Makeup is an art.
The face is a canvas, a blank sheet and my task is to create a beautiful picture.
I am immensely grateful to God that I do what I like to do and I always want to do it.
You have to burn with your work and then everything will work out!

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?

Willingness to lern,communicability,patience and perseverance.

1. Willingness to learn – in our profession it is impossible without professional development and it can be at least 2 times a year. You have to give a lot of time to learning new things. Otherwise, you’ll get stuck in one place and fall behind on new trends and techniques.
2. Communicability – I love communication and I always wanted my profession to be connected with communication with people.
3.Patience and perseverance – it helped me a lot not to stop at failures and go on.

If you have decided to tie your fate to the beauty field . This is a great opportunity to learn the world of beauty from the inside. Never give up and do not react to criticism in your address, but take it as experience and boldly go on to practice your skills.
Most importantly, love your profession, draw information from everywhere and do not be afraid, do not be afraid of your mistakes, we learn from them and become better, braver, more confident in their actions, and most importantly happier!
As soon as you see the result of your work and the burning eyes of your client, who left you delighted with himself, after that you will not want to stop, more and more to create and bring people joy.

Before we go, maybe you can tell us a bit about your parents and what you feel was the most impactful thing they did for you?

My mom and dad are the best parents in the world. Unfortunately, when I was 9 years old, my dad was killed in a car accident. But I remember how much he did for us, the three girls in the family, I’m the middle one. And he always wanted the best for us in this world. After she died, my mom was left alone and she worked very hard to provide for us. She became my hero, I looked at her and how she tried to give us everything, so that we would not starve, be clothed. She loved and loves us very much. Love, support, example – that is the most important thing to get from parents and then everything else will be! And I proud of my parents!
