Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Jahaira Villalobos. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Hi Jahaira, thanks for sharing your insights with our community today. Part of your success, no doubt, is due to your work ethic and so we’d love if you could open up about where you got your work ethic from?

I get my work ethic from my dad. He’s a chemistry professor, but he didn’t stop there. He also ran a small dollar store and a house cleaning business. Watching him juggle multiple responsibilities with dedication and hard work inspired me to bring the same level of commitment to everything I do. My mother and my sisters and brothers have also led the way and inspired me .

Let’s take a small detour – maybe you can share a bit about yourself before we dive back into some of the other questions we had for you?

I’m Jahaira, and I’m passionate about helping people transform their lives through Beauty, health, wellness, and financial empowerment. I work as a market partner with Modern Nature, a company that specializes in premium haircare, skincare, and wellness products. What excites me most about my work is the opportunity to make a positive impact on people’s lives—not just by helping them achieve healthier hair and skin, but by offering them a business opportunity that can truly change their financial future.

My journey began four years ago, when I decided to leave my career as a science teacher and dive into the world of network marketing. It was a challenging transition, but one that I embraced fully because I knew the potential MONAT had to offer. My work now revolves around not just selling products but empowering others to believe in themselves and their ability to succeed. Whether it’s through mindset training, personal development sessions, or one-on-one coaching, I’m committed to helping my team and clients reach their goals.

One of the things I’m most excited about right now is the new product launches we have on the horizon, which continue to set MONAT apart in the industry. Additionally, I’m focused on expanding my reach through digital marketing, sharing my story, and showing others how they can use these products and this business opportunity to create a life they love.

I want people to know that my brand is about more than just products; it’s about community, empowerment, and the belief that everyone has the potential to achieve greatness with the right tools and support.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?

Looking back, three qualities that were most impactful in my journey are resilience, the ability to adapt, and a strong belief in my purpose.

Resilience: There were many moments where I faced challenges, whether it was shifting from my teaching career to network marketing or dealing with rejection along the way. Resilience helped me push through those tough times and keep moving forward. My advice for those early in their journey is to embrace failure as a part of growth. Each setback is an opportunity to learn and come back stronger.

Adaptability: The world of business, especially in network marketing, is constantly evolving. Being adaptable has allowed me to stay ahead of trends and adjust my strategies when needed. For anyone starting out, I recommend staying open to learning and being willing to pivot when necessary. Flexibility is key to long-term success.

Belief in Your Purpose: Knowing your ‘why’ is crucial. For me, it was the desire to provide for my family and help others achieve their dreams. This belief has been the driving force behind everything I do. My advice is to spend time understanding your purpose and let it guide your decisions. When you’re clear on why you’re doing something, it becomes much easier to stay motivated and committed.

For those just beginning their journey, focus on developing these qualities. Surround yourself with supportive people, invest in personal development, and most importantly, believe in yourself and your vision. Your mindset will be the foundation for everything else you build.

One book that has played a significant role in my development is John Maxwell’s The 16 Laws of Leadership. This book has been a game-changer for me in understanding what it takes to be an effective leader, both in business and in life.

A few of the most valuable nuggets of wisdom from the book include:

The Law of the Lid: This principle taught me that my leadership ability determines my level of effectiveness. If I want to see growth in my business and in my team, I have to constantly work on raising my leadership lid. This means investing in my personal development, learning from others, and being open to feedback.

The Law of Influence: John Maxwell emphasizes that leadership is about influence—nothing more, nothing less. This shifted my perspective from trying to control outcomes to focusing on building genuine relationships and positively impacting those around me. Understanding that true leadership is earned, not given, has been pivotal in how I approach my work.

The Law of Navigation: This law highlights the importance of setting a clear direction and being able to lead others through challenges. In my journey, being able to navigate the ups and downs of business has been crucial. It’s not just about seeing where I want to go, but also about being able to guide others on that path.

These insights have deeply influenced how I lead my team and run my business. For anyone looking to grow as a leader, I highly recommend The 16 Laws of Leadership. It’s a resource that provides timeless principles that can be applied in any area of life.
