Meet Elisa Lucía

We were lucky to catch up with Elisa Lucía recently and have shared our conversation below.

Elisa, so good to have you with us today. We’ve always been impressed with folks who have a very clear sense of purpose and so maybe we can jump right in and talk about how you found your purpose?

I like to think that I have more than one purpose. Some I have found, and some I am sure that I will find along the way. However, art has always been a great part of my life. Different forms of storytelling; like film, were a huge part of my childhood and made me who I am today. Dancing on stage was also an important part of my life and performing was one of my favorite things to do growing up. During and after high-school I got a lot of anxiety when it came to deciding what I wanted to do with my life. I was lucky to realize that the answer was right in front of my face my whole life and then everything made sense.

Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?

I am a Costa Rican born and raised actress based in Los Angeles. I work as a Casting Assistant and Script Supervisor. I also have experience as a producer, writer, director, editor, and dancer. I love storytelling in any way, shape or form. I have some exciting projects coming out soon that I cannot disclose yet, but once I can I will post on my Instagram about them!

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?

Passion, patience and determination. You have to be passionate about what you are creating in order to give your ideas the justice that they deserve. You have to be patient, specifically in the entertainment industry, because good things don’t come easy for most. You have to be determined to create no matter what, because if no one gives you the opportunities, you will have to create those opportunities for yourself.

To close, maybe we can chat about your parents and what they did that was particularly impactful for you?

I was extremely lucky to have been born in a household that supported me in every way. My parents are my rocks and without all the love and opportunities that they have provided to me my whole life, I wouldn’t be where I am today. The most impactful thing they have done is supporting and believing in both myself and my dreams.
