Meet Andrea Huang

We were lucky to catch up with Andrea Huang recently and have shared our conversation below.

Alright, so we’re so thrilled to have Andrea with us today – welcome and maybe we can jump right into it with a question about one of your qualities that we most admire. How did you develop your work ethic? Where do you think you get it from?

My principle is “Treat others the way I want to be treated.”

If you don’t like the feeling of others being late, don’t be late.
If you would feel hurt hearing sharp words, don’t say them to others.
If you appreciate others’ understanding and tolerance, do the same to them.

Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?

I’ve always been deeply fascinated by human nature, including our interaction with the natural world, history, philosophy, and art. My passion is to reveal the magic within each of us—our emotions, experiences, memories, and imperfections.

Just as poets write poetry and singers create songs, I craft jewelry. Jewelry is something we wear every day to adorn ourselves and express our personality. How incredible it would be to wear something that not only enhances our appearance but also serves as a reminder of who we are and what we’re deeply connected to.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?

In my opinion, the most crucial quality for an entrepreneur is faith.

Faith drives you to develop your skills and knowledge. It keeps you persistent and unafraid of failure.

While self-awareness and recognizing your qualities are important, without faith, it’s impossible to overcome the challenges on the entrepreneurial journey.

“I never believed that failure is the mother of success. I believe that faith is the father of success.” – John D. Rockefeller

Awesome, really appreciate you opening up with us today and before we close maybe you can share a book recommendation with us. Has there been a book that’s been impactful in your growth and development?

I highly recommend everyone read the ancient Chinese philosophical work, the “Tao Te Ching” by Laozi.

The “Tao Te Ching” discusses the laws governing the operation of all things in the universe and emphasizes that everything has two sides. By understanding these principles and gaining life experience, you won’t focus solely on immediate benefits, become arrogant, envy others, or feel disheartened. You’ll come to realize that gentleness is stronger than force, and sometimes doing nothing is better than doing anything.

These teachings are invaluable, whether for a nation, a business, a family, or an individual.
