We were lucky to catch up with Ak recently and have shared our conversation below.

AK , so many exciting things to discuss, we can’t wait. Thanks for joining us and we appreciate you sharing your wisdom with our readers. So, maybe we can start by discussing optimism and where your optimism comes from?

In 2016, I was very intrigued to see all the varying up and coming sketch comedy creators and I would say that was where my optimism began. I started to think to myself, I could make it happen for myself too. I’ve fostered that mentally to the present day and I continue to think of each day as a new opportunity to keep grinding.

Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?

I make sketch comedy, mostly short form and my content can be found on varying websites and apps like: Youtube, TikTok, and Instagram. What I feel that is most exciting about my job is that I have the ability to do something that I truly love and is something that I am passionate about. I have the ability to wake up each and everyday, work on my own time, focus on my creativity, and provide entertainment to my supporters. New and exciting things that are coming are future merchandise, future streaming on Twitch, along with future content on Snapchat.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?

I believe three qualities that have helped me throughout this journey are: perseverance, creativity, and patience. Having perseverance is something that you have to decide for yourself and knowing within yourself how bad you truly what something. You have to be able to sacrifice, know what you are willing to go through to persevere and to get to where you want to be. Being creative is just one piece of the puzzle I believe one must have with this type of work. With that I mean, if you want to improve your creativity, you have to study other creatives and use their work as a reference to fuel your own ideas. Lastly, developing patience is something that won’t happen overtime but something that can be developed through time. You have to just keep reminding yourself that your time will come, maybe not now or tomorrow, but it will eventually happen.

All the wisdom you’ve shared today is sincerely appreciated. Before we go, can you tell us about the main challenge you are currently facing?

Creative burnout would be the number one obstacle that I am currently facing at the moment. There are times where it is difficult to make skits of a certain quality that I know I want to be able to push out consistently. Some things that I have been doing to overcome it is taking time off to get inspiration as well as watch some of my favorite content creators as it could spark future ideas.
