Meet Emily Giglio

We recently connected with Emily Giglio and have shared our conversation below.

Emily, looking forward to learning from your journey. You’ve got an amazing story and before we dive into that, let’s start with an important building block. Where do you get your work ethic from?

I think for me, my work ethic stems from my parents and how I was raised growing up. I was always taught to work hard for what I want in life and I had the best two role models as my parents who showed me that every single day. I know that nothing in life comes easy and there will always be challenges that you may face, but how you grow and learn from those challenges says a lot about you and how much you are willing to work to get the things you have always wanted and deserved.

Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?

ShopEndlessJune is a clothing brand that specializes in embroidery among other things such as boutique clothing, accessories, and screen-printing. Our brand started in 2021 and has continued to grow every year since then. We have an online website where you can purchase the items we offer, as well as two brick and mortar locations located inside of The Painted Tree Boutiques- Space B11 at the Cincinnati, Ohio location and Space D13 at the Crestview Hills, Kentucky location. Having these two locations has helped our business to grow tremendously and has opened a new gateway to new customers discovering and purchasing from our brand.

Embroidery is truly an art and something that takes a lot of time and practice to learn, but in the end it is such a rewarding craft to be able to do every single day. Getting to create new pieces and designs for customers to wear is the coolest thing and something I am forever grateful for. We also pride ourselves on being size inclusive. I can’t tell you how many times I have been thanked for carrying sizing up to 5xl from ladies who may not always be able to find their size at other stores or with other brands. I love making others happy and being the reason that women feel good about themselves and what they are wearing. We are always just trying to incorporate styles into our brand that will make women feel confident and happy with what they choose to wear.

Coming up on the Fall season, this is our busiest time of the year. We offer over 20 embroidered Fall and Halloween designs online and a limited amount of designs at our Painted Tree Boutiques booths. Along with online and our two brick and mortar booths, we also do in person pop up markets throughout the year. Find our upcoming list below to see where we will be next:

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?

Three qualities that helped me the most to get to where I am today as a business owner would have to be having good time management skills, being hardworking, and just genuinely loving what I do every single day. You have to be ready to put a lot of work in if you are wanting your business to grow and reach customers, which is not an easy thing to do right off the bat. You will need to acquire time management skills to make sure that you are getting things done because at the end of the day, the business will not work if you don’t. Lastly, loving what you do. They say do what you love and you will never work a day in your life and I have found that to be a very true statement.

Before we go, any advice you can share with people who are feeling overwhelmed?

I have always been one to get overwhelmed very easily so starting a business was a lot when I was first starting out. I think what helped me the most was trying to be my own person and my own brand and not actively comparing myself to others who had some of the same business goals as me. Obviously, that is easier said than done but I think at the end of the day you know when something is too much for yourself and you need to take a step back. It is okay to ask for help and I wish I learned that earlier in my start to become a business owner. Know that it is okay to take a few days to reset and refocus on your goals, especially if you are in a burnt-out or overwhelming stage in your journey. You will end up coming back even stronger once you give your body and mind the time it needs to process everything.
