Meet Emily Lopez

We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Emily Lopez a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.

Emily , looking forward to learning from your journey. You’ve got an amazing story and before we dive into that, let’s start with an important building block. Where do you get your work ethic from?

My work ethic comes from both of my immigrant parents. They have always worked incredibly hard. Sometimes 2 or 3 jobs at a time to support my 4 siblings and I.

Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?

Hello everyone! My name is Emily, but I also go by Emmie. I am a local content creator who loves trying new foods, exploring new spots, going on family adventures, traveling, and enjoying a good cocktail! You can find me exploring all over Arizona and across the globe. I love being able to support small and family-owned businesses in the community.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?

Some of the qualities that have had the most impact on my journey are being hardworking, creative, and, most of all, passionate. Exploring different foods, cultures, and diversity has always been an interest of mine since I was a young girl. I’ve always dreamed of traveling the world one day and learning about food and languages.

Okay, so before we go, is there anyone you’d like to shoutout for the role they’ve played in helping you develop the essential skills or overcome challenges along the way?

My husband has been incredibly helpful in supporting me as I overcome challenges. He’s my rock, always there to lift me up when I lack confidence. The foodie community has also been very supportive, and I’m grateful to everyone who has helped me on this journey of creating content.
