We recently connected with Darice Anderson and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Darice, really happy you were able to join us today and we’re looking forward to sharing your story and insights with our readers. Let’s start with the heart of it all – purpose. How did you find your purpose?
Finding my purpose has been a journey of both reflection and action. It started with my own experiences growing up in a community where opportunities were limited, and resources were often scarce. I saw firsthand the challenges that many people, especially young people, faced in trying to reach their potential. This sparked a passion in me to make a difference, to create pathways for others where there were none before. Through education, volunteer work, and eventually founding 3-N-1 Trinity Services, I realized that my purpose is to empower underrepresented communities by providing them with the tools, knowledge, and opportunities they need to thrive. It’s incredibly fulfilling to see the impact our programs have on individuals and to know that we are contributing to a brighter future for many.

Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?
At 3-N-1 Trinity Services, our mission is to empower underrepresented communities by providing them with the resources, education, and support they need to succeed. Our work spans various initiatives, including youth leadership development, entrepreneurship training, and community engagement programs. What excites me most is seeing the transformation in individuals who come through our programs—whether it’s a young person discovering their leadership potential or an adult launching a business they once thought was impossible.
We have several exciting events and programs coming up. Our Youth Development Program is ongoing, with sessions scheduled for October 1, October 9 and November 7. These sessions focus on building leadership skills, employment or entrepreneur training, etiquette, and financial literacy among young people.
In addition, we’re gearing up for our Entrepreneur Training which starts September 10, 2024 and give Dallas area and Longview areas entrepreneurs an opportunity to learn skills needed to start and/or scale their business. Our Entrepreneur Conference and Pitch Competition will be held on October 26, 2024, in Longview, Texas. Additionally, our Dallas Pitch Competition in conjunction with our SHINE Conference on January 11, 2025 in Dallas. These events will bring together aspiring entrepreneurs to present their business ideas, network with professionals, and receive valuable feedback. Further, our pop up vendor highlight will give other entrepreneurs an opportunity to share their services and products with our community.
January 11, 2025 additional details-
SHINE: Providing Opportunities for the Underrepresented Communities on January 11, 2025, in Dallas. This event will focus on education, community engagement, and promoting equity, featuring inspiring speakers, a professional panel, and a pitch competition.
Our work is not just about providing services—it’s about building a community where everyone has the opportunity to shine. I’m proud of what we’ve accomplished, and I’m excited about the future as we continue to expand our reach and impact.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
Reflecting on my journey, three qualities have been particularly impactful: resilience, empathy, and strategic thinking. Resilience has been vital in overcoming challenges and setbacks, allowing me to stay committed to our mission despite difficulties. Empathy has guided the development of our programs, helping us understand and address the needs of the communities we serve. Strategic thinking has enabled effective planning and execution, ensuring we set clear goals, allocate resources wisely, and measure our impact accurately.
For those early in their journey, I recommend focusing on these areas to build a solid foundation. To develop resilience, embrace challenges as opportunities for growth and build a supportive network around you. To enhance empathy, practice active listening and engage deeply with the communities you aim to help. For strategic thinking, study successful models and frameworks in your field and apply these insights to your own planning and decision-making processes. Cultivating these qualities will greatly support your efforts and help you navigate your path more effectively.

One of our goals is to help like-minded folks with similar goals connect and so before we go we want to ask if you are looking to partner or collab with others – and if so, what would make the ideal collaborator or partner?
Yes, we are actively seeking partners and collaborators who share our commitment to empowering underrepresented communities. We are particularly interested in:
Nonprofit Organizations: Groups that focus on areas such as youth development, entrepreneurship, or community support. By joining forces, we can enhance our collective impact and extend our reach.
Corporate Partners: Companies interested in providing sponsorship, donations, or employee volunteer opportunities. Your support can help us expand our programs and achieve our mission more effectively.
Educational Institutions: Schools and universities that can offer their expertise, resources, or students for mentorship, workshops, and collaborative initiatives.
Community leaders and Influencers: Individuals who can advocate for our cause, raise awareness, and leverage their networks to support our efforts.
Additionally, we are looking for volunteers who are passionate about making a difference. Whether someone can offer time for mentoring, event support, or administrative tasks, their involvement will be invaluable.
