Meet Zoe Krushall-Jimenez

We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Zoe Krushall-Jimenez. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Zoe below.

Zoe, we’ve been so fortunate to work with so many incredible folks and one common thread we have seen is that those who have built amazing lives for themselves are also often the folks who are most generous. Where do you think your generosity comes from?
I would have to say my generosity most definitely comes from my grandma aka my Mimi. She is most definitely a gentle soul who is known for being a kind social butterfly. Growing up she always taught us to be kind no matter what. She would tell me that it wasn’t appealing to have an ugly heart or ugly ways. Being kind was always something that was important to her. She would always tell me no matter what someone or life throws at you to always be the bigger person and to always remain kind. My Mimi has always had the biggest heart and I think it has definitely rubbed off on me. I try to have the biggest heart for others because I tell myself I would want someone to have the same kind of generosity for me. I wake up every day wanting to be a better version of myself, and part of that is to always remember that my Mimi would want me to always be kind and to have a big heart.

Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?
So what I do is I offer full time luxury Makeup, Nail, & Hair services. What I do is nothing to what others do, and that’s what I strive for. The most exciting part about my job is getting to meet new clients and getting to build potential relationships with those clients. I think that fact that you can service someone who is a stranger and there be a possibility that you turn out really bonding with each other is something very special about my job, because it takes a very special person to bond and connect with every person who sits in their chair. Something about my brand that some might not know is that I’m all about the customer. Meaning I’m very big on customer service. I want my clients to feel 100% comfortable in my chair at all times during their appointments. I want my clients to know and feel that they can most definitely tell me if something isn’t up to their liking or standards. A client should never be made to feel like they can’t ask for what they are paying for. I always want my clients to get what THEY ask for and to always get their moneys worth. Another thing my brand is very big on is passion. I put my all into everything I do that involves BeautyByBelou. I never want people to think I do anything 50%. I give my full 100% for ANY service I book. I am devoted to anything I do work related, and I am proud to say that my clients could definitely say the same. As some may know BeautyByBelou is setting goals to start offering classes soon. I want to spread my knowledge amongst others who want to become a Nail Tech & Makeup Artist. Yes, that’s right, not only do I want to teach nail courses I also want to teach makeup courses as well. I’m big on helping and supporting others, and wanting to see everyone win. BeautyByBelou is also diving into the Pedicure world. So stay tuned on what’s coming next.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
I would have to say for sure Consistency, Patience, and Hard Work. These three things have helped me get to where I am as a business today. Consistency comes in hand because you want to stay consistent with work, whether you feel if it’s good enough to post or not post everything you work on. One day you will look back and realize the growth. It’s very important to stay consistent because that’s what clients look for is for someone who is always consistent. Patience comes in hand because you have to remain patient. Nothing happens over night but miracles, and unfortunately getting to the top takes lots of patience. It’s not easy at first, but you have to stay patient and tell yourself that your hard work will eventually pay off. Hard work and dedication doesn’t go unnoticed. Last but not least HARD WORK. If you want to reach your goal you have to work hard. Nothing comes easy, meaning if you want you have to go get it. Working hard towards your business will ALWAYS benefit you in the long run. The outcome could be good pay, always being booked in advance, and having satisfied clients. My advice for anyone just starting their journey is to never give up. Everyone starts somewhere. Don’t get discouraged so easily, everything comes with time, and most importantly put your all into everything you do.

Alright so to wrap up, who deserves credit for helping you overcome challenges or build some of the essential skills you’ve needed?
I say this all the time but I mean it every time I say it, and that person for me would have to be my Husband. He has been my support system through every single challenge that life has thrown at me. He has taught me patience in many different ways. He has taught me how to communicate, he has taught me to be humble, he has taught me many things in our 10 years of being together. We have grown together so he has taught me so much that goes into the person & business woman I am today. Without my support system I or my business wouldn’t be here.
