Meet Allison Goldberg

We recently connected with Allison Goldberg and have shared our conversation below.

Allison, thank you so much for joining us. You are such a positive person and it’s something we really admire and so we wanted to start by asking you where you think your optimism comes from?

Optimism is in my top 3 defining personality traits. I feel strongly about the transformative power of optimism in every aspect of my life. Numerous studies have shown the power of our thoughts and it has been scientifically proven to impact life’s successes as well as setbacks. Growing up, my mother modeled optimism every day, which shaped my own approach to life. For instance, while a rainy day may be seen as gloomy and depressing to one person, another person may see it as an opportunity to catch up on neglected things in the home. This is just one of many examples of how important the way we think directs our life. Similarly, instead of looking at traffic as an inconvenience, I would rather think of it as an opportunity to slow down life, to contemplate, to day dream, to sit in a place stillness. These are just a few examples that demonstrate that life is all about the way we see it. Embracing being a positive person has helped me create meaningful relationships, a close knit family, a fulfilling career and self love.

Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?

I’m a seasoned certified life coach with 27 years of experience, dedicated to helping people of all ages who feel stuck or unfulfilled. My mission is to empower individuals to break free from the behavior patterns that hold them back, whether it’s feeling the pressure of the daily grind, facing professional challenges, or struggling to find personal fulfillment.

I am my clients accountability partner. I am not a therapist and I don’t offer advice—I help my clients see what works for them specifically. I am there to support them, motivate and keep them on track towards agreed upon goals. What sets my coaching apart is my comprehensive, custom tailored approach. Unlike many coaches who focus on a single area of life, I address all aspects—personal growth, professional development, relationships, health, and well-being. Life is interconnected, and so is my coaching approach. This holistic perspective ensures that changes in one area positively impact all others, leading to a balanced and fulfilled life. With 27 years in the field, I’ve seen it all. My extensive experience allows me to offer insights and strategies that are tried, tested, and proven to work. Whether you’re facing personal hurdles, career roadblocks, or simply feeling overwhelmed, I’ve successfully helped clients navigate similar challenges. My brand is built on trust, experience, and a deep understanding of the complexities of life. It’s about more than just coaching; it’s about transformation. I pride myself on building genuine, lasting relationships with my clients, creating a safe space where they can explore, grow, and thrive.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?

Three qualities that have been most impactful in my journey into life coaching are: A natural commitment to helping others, strong organizational skills and enthusiasm for life. My strongest recommendation to people, including my clients who are focused on their current or future career, is to start by looking at what you love to do. Identify your natural, God-given gifts. Then, find a mentor who is already doing something that aligns with your passions and aspirations, and shadow them. Spend time with them, observe, and learn. Model yourself after people you admire, but always add your own personal flair. This approach allows you to stay true to yourself while drawing inspiration and guidance from those who have already walked the path.

How would you describe your ideal client?

I feel incredibly blessed to be in such an amazing profession. When I think about my ideal client, I believe it’s someone who is truly ready to take ownership of their life. My ideal client is committed to the deep, introspective work required to understand themselves and what drives them. They’re dedicated to becoming the best version of themselves. With a clear understanding of their motivations and the support of an accountability partner, they’re fully equipped to achieve their goals and succeed.
