Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Antonia Livers. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Antonia, so great to have you with us and we want to jump right into a really important question. In recent years, it’s become so clear that we’re living through a time where so many folks are lacking self-confidence and self-esteem. So, we’d love to hear about your journey and how you developed your self-confidence and self-esteem.
I developed a skin condition called vitiligo when I was 14. I knew exactly what it was since my aunt had it too. I knew what to expect, but actually living through this change is a different ball game. It started out really small, but it progressively developed over time.
I hated what I looked like. I hated to look different and feel different. I was self conscious about myself and let it out by being loud, attracting attention, and talking bad about others to feel better about myself. After a while I could tell that this approach isn’t working at all. I didn’t like talking others down, because in the end, it didn’t make me feel better at all. I was still looking the same and dealing with the same skin condition that others didn’t have to deal with.
When I was about 20 years old I got to the point where I was tired of feeling this way. I was tired of thinking that people talk behind my back. I was tired of feeling different and not embracing it.
That’s when I started shifting my mindset about the skin condition.
I asked myself “am I sick-no”
“Am I a bad person-no”
“Do I have great and supportive people in my life regardless of the skin condition- YES”
That’s when it clicked
This is a part of me but it doesn’t define me and it sure as hell cannot control the way I feel or think about myself.
I cannot control what my skin will look like, but I can control how I think of myself, how I view life, how I view myself, and how I react to people that talk about my skin.
It’s like a unique mark that makes me look different- but in a great way!
I worked hard on my mindset and how I speak to myself!
I am genuine
I am disciplined
I am honest
I am hard working
I am consistent
I am a great mom
I am an amazing friend
I am capable of so much more
And so are you!

Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?
I have been working as a personal trainer/ nutrition coach/ group fitness instructor/ health coach my entire professional career.
I realized how powerful health and fitness are after a hip injury that could have put me in a wheelchair. I refused surgery, but I also refused giving up. So I started working out, reading myself into exercises and anatomy to help myself out- and it worked!
That’s when I knew “if I can help myself, I can help others too”
I went to school for exercise science/health science and graduated as best of the year. I loved it!
Ever since I worked for gyms and for myself!
Currently I am employed as a health coach and do macro coaching and workout programming on the side!

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
Discipline, consistency, and lead by example!
These three values are core values to me that I live by day in and day out!
Discipline and consistency come very natural to me. Leading by example became more and more important the bigger my clientele got.
I tried almost everything regarding fitness. I even did a bodybuilding competition so I could guide and relate to clients that want to do the same.
One thing I always remind myself of is: I am not the smartest person, ever- keep learning

How would you describe your ideal client?
My ideal client is someone who truly wants change. Someone who doesn’t talk a big game and can’t back it up.
I am all about actions and working hard for what you want.
I think success must be earned and not given.
So anyone who truly wants change is my ideal client
