We were lucky to catch up with Veronica Stevens recently and have shared our conversation below.
Veronica , thanks so much for taking the time to share your insights and lessons with us today. We’re particularly interested in hearing about how you became such a resilient person. Where do you get your resilience from?
My resilience comes from my personal health journey. Going through my own challenges taught me the importance of addressing the root cause rather than just the symptoms, and that’s the foundation of everything I do. It’s also what fuels my passion for helping my clients find true healing. The support from my family, friends, and mentors has played a big role in keeping me grounded and focused. And my clients—seeing their transformations and growth inspires me to stay strong, knowing that we’re in this healing journey together.
Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?
At Skin Sanctuary, I specialize in acne healing and skin transformation, combining clinical results with a spiritual approach. What excites me most is seeing my clients not only achieve clear skin but also a deep sense of confidence and well-being. I use DMK Skin Revision treatments alongside Reiki and sound healing, which allows me to address skin issues from both a physical and energetic level. My clients aren’t just getting facials—they’re embarking on a holistic healing journey.
Right now, I’m focused on expanding my reach in Los Angeles and beyond, educating people about the connection between their skin and overall health. I’m also excited to offer private sound bath and Reiki sessions as standalone services, helping my clients tap into even deeper layers of healing. At Skin Sanctuary, it’s all about treating the root cause, not just the symptoms, and empowering my clients to feel beautiful from the inside out.
If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
Looking back, three qualities that were most impactful in my journey were patience, empathy, and continuous learning. Patience has been key, both in my personal health journey and in working with clients. Healing takes time, and as difficult as it can be at times, it’s important to trust the process. Empathy allows me to truly connect with my clients, seeing them as whole individuals rather than just focusing on their skin issues. Continuous learning has kept me grounded and inspired—whether it’s expanding my knowledge of DMK Skin Revision Treatments, or integrating spiritual practices like Reiki into my services.
For anyone early in their journey, my advice is to trust yourself, listen to your body, and find peace in the process. Don’t rush the process of growth and healing; give yourself room to make mistakes and find the lesson in them. Stay curious and always keep learning—whether it’s through formal training or self-exploration. Most importantly, develop deep empathy for the people you serve, because that’s what will set you apart and create lasting relationships.
One of our goals is to help like-minded folks with similar goals connect and so before we go we want to ask if you are looking to partner or collab with others – and if so, what would make the ideal collaborator or partner?
Yes, I’m always open to collaborating with like-minded individuals! I’m especially interested in partnering with wellness practitioners, holistic healers, and other estheticians who align with my approach to skin healing and overall well-being. Whether you specialize in complementary services like nutrition, mindfulness, or even creative fields like photography or branding for wellness, I believe in the power of collaboration to elevate our work. (I do run a networking meetup for spiritual women in business called SOULpreneurs. We gather once a month and I would love to see that grow.
