Meet Reagan Hatch

We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Reagan Hatch. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Reagan below.

Hi Reagan, thank you for being such a positive, uplifting person. We’ve noticed that so many of the successful folks we’ve had the good fortune of connecting with have high levels of optimism and so we’d love to hear about your optimism and where you think it comes from.

My optimism comes from the onset of every decision, opportunity, adversity, complication, hiccup, new beginning and end. We all have decisions to make about how we approach life and our outlook on it. Choosing to be optimistic is not always the easy choice. Sometimes it takes a lot of work to make it stick. But I believe if you are optimistic about something, you’ve already won one battle.

Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?

I’m the Cofounder and Director of Business Development for a boutique marketing agency. We developed a proven process for our clients that saves them time and money with a huge return on peace of mind.

I started this business with a college friend when we were at a crossroads in our careers. We wanted to work for a company that shared our values, so we created one that also underscores our belief that everyone deserves access to a well-built website. For more than six years, we have always looked for ways to improve our business built on unbeatable customer service, transparency and kindness. Now our team is bigger, but we are all still women working remotely on our own terms.

Launch In One provides functional and modern websites in one day, one week or one month for a one-time, flat rate without long-term contracts. We also include website training and exceptional support. And if our (published) pricing is out of reach, then we offer our custom house-made templates for a low cost that include support and video instruction.

I get so much joy out of watching our clients meet and then exceed their goals online. We have the privilege of working with them as a team and then cheering for them from the sidelines. Win-win!

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?

Confidence, fortitude and tenacity were all on my side in this journey. I never doubted my ability to build a business, but having a partner who had experience doing so was definitely a boost. Jumping into a new industry presented an immediate challenge, but I had the fortitude that I could self teach and ask my team questions along the way. Being honest and transparent about my lack of knowledge along the way only helped to build trust with our first few clients. And I’m tenacious to a fault. There have been several obstacles along the way, but I have never considered throwing in the towel. A pandemic, electric scooter accident and family deaths could have individually derailed us, but quitting is never an option unless it’s part of the plan.

If you’re struggling with confidence and mental strength, I suggest staying off social media, surrounding yourself with other entrepreneurs who lift you up and/or hiring a mindset coach. Negative self-talk is slippery slope. But women grow human life without much thought. Imagine what we can accomplish with positive self-talk.

Before we go, any advice you can share with people who are feeling overwhelmed?

When I feel overwhelmed, I take a break. If I can’t see the forest through the trees, then my decision-making skills are negatively impacted. By taking a break and removing myself from the work or situation allows me the space to reevaluate and reprioritize my tasks. A coach taught me one simple trick that I still use when I’m overwhelmed — I ask myself, “what’s one action you can take now?” It doesn’t have to be huge or monumental, but it needs to be a step toward accomplishing something. Then take it one thing at a time. Also, don’t ever take yourself too seriously!
