Meet Diana Stanley

We were lucky to catch up with Diana Stanley recently and have shared our conversation below.

Diana , so great to have you with us and we want to jump right into a really important question. In recent years, it’s become so clear that we’re living through a time where so many folks are lacking self-confidence and self-esteem. So, we’d love to hear about your journey and how you developed your self-confidence and self-esteem.

Confidence and self-esteem is still something that comes in waves. One thing I pride myself on is constantly seeking answers and expanding my knowledge. No day is the same in life of a Realtor, so each time I encountered a challenge, I educate myself to overcome it. This commitment to learning reinforced my belief in my abilities and the quality of my decisions. Over time, trusting myself to do what’s right became a foundation for my confidence.

Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?

As a dedicated realtor, I take pride in treating every transaction with the care and attention as if it were my own. Whether it’s negotiating deals or marketing a property, I fight to secure the best possible outcome for my clients. I understand that buying or selling a home is an intimate process that requires trust, and I’m honored that many of my clients become friends along the way. I truly care about each individual I work with, always striving to make their real estate experience smooth and successful. I am blessed to be a part of a team of two other extremely talented realtors on Watson Southern Properties. Three mins are better than one! Beyond my professional role, I have a deep love for my community, which is why I volunteer as the board president for the St. Tammany Art Association. Through this role, I help foster enrichment and connection within the community. I believe in supporting local growth and am passionate about seeing my community thrive. My commitment to excellence extends beyond real estate, as I continue to give back and stay involved in the place I call home.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?

1. Thirst for knowledge- Being a valuable resource for both clients and colleagues is very important to me. By staying informed and up-to-date in my field, I build trust and confidence in my opinions, making others feel secure in the advice and guidance I provide.

2. Genuine- I’ve never taken the approach of a pushy salesperson when working with new clients, and I believe people can sense that. Instead, I focus on understanding what would make me feel most comfortable if I were in their shoes. By keeping their perspective in mind, I strive to create a more relaxed, trusting environment where their needs come first. This approach allows me to build genuine connections without pressure.

3. Multi tasking-On any given day, I juggle multiple roles, from marketing specialist to problem solver, often stepping in to address unexpected issues that arise during a transaction. I like to think of myself as an acrobat in the circus, skillfully spinning plates while balancing on a unicycle. It’s a constant act of maintaining momentum, ensuring everything runs smoothly while keeping all aspects of the deal in motion.

Awesome, really appreciate you opening up with us today and before we close maybe you can share a book recommendation with us. Has there been a book that’s been impactful in your growth and development?

The book that has made the largest impact on my life/ my career is Rich Dad Poor Dad. This book teaches a shift of mindset from relying on tradition employment to building wealth through real estate. I recommend this book for anyone that is curious to build a large life and have more control over your income.
