We were lucky to catch up with Elisa Wiggins recently and have shared our conversation below.
Elisa, so good to have you with us today. We’ve always been impressed with folks who have a very clear sense of purpose and so maybe we can jump right in and talk about how you found your purpose?
I have found my purpose through a beautiful blend of prayer, intentions, creativity, healing, and personal expression. As an entrepreneur, artist, yogi, and follower of Jesus, I have integrated my passions into a lifestyle that helps others connect with themselves and find peace. I am dedicated to sharing insights, fostering community, and exploring deeper truths. Through my art, yoga and the medicine of cannabis, I now get to empower others while embracing my own spiritual path without judgement from others or myself, which reflects a purpose rooted in both creativity and healing, all in the name of Christ.
Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?
My brand is special because it’s not just about one thing. It’s an entire lifestyle that blends art, spirituality, wellness, and personal empowerment. I am very candid about showing up my most authentic self. My spiritual journey began through the teachings of Jesus and through the tools of my wellness practices, however, it started with Jesus first. All these practices give me and my story a grounded edge. It invites others to open up and reflect on their own paths, making my brand a beacon of authenticity. I am called to be a light in this world. Sometimes it doesn’t look like how others say it should and I am ok with that. I know who I am and whose I am. I am not limited to one medium or approach, and this allows me to connect with others and transform their lives, whether it’s through a sacred hair ritual through my meditative hair salon experience where you get to experience true relaxation while receiving self-care hair care, an art piece, yoga, vocal sound healing, guided meditation, website design, or spiritual coaching and prayer. People crave personal transformation. God’s word says to be transformed by the renewing of our minds. That renewing comes in the form of art for me, God, Spirit, Source, made me a creator, an artist, and when I can inspire others tap into their freedom of expression, I watch them break free from their own limitations, and embrace their own truth and individuality to tap into a deeper sense of purpose. My brand is to inspire people to find their voice, the voice God gave them, to live out the expression of God’s purpose through them. This empowerment is the key!
In being my candid self, I am in process of bringing a sacred safe space through Darma talks by way of a podcast to my community. It talks all things health and wellness and plant medicines that have helped me on my journey as well. We dive deep into personal journeys, spiritual growth, breaking free from religion and dogma and the powerful intersection of cannabis. We’ll share not only my own revelations but also the stories of incredible individuals who’ve found transformation through similar practices. I’ll be bringing on some amazing guests from the worlds of wellness, cannabis and how to treat it as a sacred medicine, let go of the abuse of it, yoga and creative industries. We’ll talk about how these paths intertwine and how they’ve helped people -just like me, and maybe just like you, on their journeys of self- expression. One of the things I am most excited about is adding a visual element to the podcast. You’ll be able to see us in action-whether it’s recording from the studio, in the middle of a yoga practice, or even during one of our outdoor adventures connecting with the most healing element of all, nature. Expect raw, real, and unfiltered conversations. And if you love social media, you’ll see highlights and powerful moments on Tik Tok, Instagram, Facebook, and YouTube.
Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
Self-awareness, Creativity and Resilience.
Self-awareness and the willingness to evolve outside of others’ beliefs on what or how they think you should live. This openness allows you to find healing and purpose in ways that others may overlook, and it guides your creative and entrepreneurial pursuits should that be your purpose. Start by reflecting on your own strengths and areas of growth. Cultivate mindfulness through practices like meditation, prayer, creativity and journaling. Be open to change, otherwise you stay stuck. Sometimes It gets messy in the transformation but that’s where the growth is. Try new things without fear of failure and trust your instincts. Growth happens when you’re willing to step outside the box of your comfort zone and be vulnerable. BE VULNERABLE!! Especially in the realm of creativity. Let go of what you think it should look like and just create. So your drawing or painting looks like a 2-year-old did it, that’s the point! Get out of your head and come into the peace of letting go and come back to that childlike wonderment. Surround yourself with inspiration, whether through art, nature, music or other creative avenues, and give yourself permission to experiment. GIVE YOURSELF PERMISSION!! When facing obstacles, focus on problem solving. The brain loves to solve a problem. Are they really problems though? Learn from the experience. Take care of your mental health with grounding practices like yoga or mindfulness and stay patient, success is built over time. Be still and know that I AM God.
Okay, so before we go we always love to ask if you are looking for folks to partner or collaborate with?
I’d love to collaborate and partner with cannabis brands that focus on wellness-oriented cannabis products, such as CBD, edibles, tinctures, flower and holistic offerings. Spiritual and wellness experts such as yoga instructors, meditation teachers, life coaches who incorporate cannabis or other alternative health practices into their wellness journeys. Holistic health practitioners like naturopaths, functional medicine doctors, therapists who blend mind-body healing with natural remedies. Artists and creatives who explore spiritual themes in their work. Outdoor adventure brands and travel influencers that could bring an exciting adventurous angle to all the things wellness with their gear. Conscious living brands that emphasize sustainability, eco-friendly products and conscious living. Wellness Retreats and event planners that would partner with bringing vocal sound baths for sound healing. Sound healing communities where other sound therapists could offer a great synergy to vocal sound healing. Other Podcasters who are on similar journey’s, and those who have worked with plant medicines and those who no longer wish to. Those who have dedicated their life to Christ’s work. I’d love to hear and talk insights on all the above in a safe space with non-judgment.
