Meet Andrea Jenkins

We recently connected with Andrea Jenkins and have shared our conversation below.

Hi Andrea, thank you for being such a positive, uplifting person. We’ve noticed that so many of the successful folks we’ve had the good fortune of connecting with have high levels of optimism and so we’d love to hear about your optimism and where you think it comes from.

Thank you for having me again! Always a pleasure!
My entire life I have been battling different obstacles. People close to me say that I am a “fighter” I don’t give up & I don’t quit.
In my opinion, why should you give up?
Life is a Rollercoaster. Heartbreak. Finding love. Finding love in yourself. Financial hardships. Domestic violence. Raising your kids to be good adults some day.
You have two options: You can give up and coast through life. Or, you can trust in God & keep paving a new path. & Sometimes you will find yourself paving new paths again & again.
But stay the course & keep your optimism.
My kids, God, my husband Tim, all the projects I do, and friends & family help me stay the course!

Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?

I am currently finishing my book “17 years & Counting” based on the true love story between Tim & I.
I am also releasing my first album soon.
So far, “Sanity” is my favorite off the entire album. I have collabed with Brylew, KelseyLynn, Evelyine, GrizzLee (Who produced my entire album) & Jesaiah Rae. “Gullible” feat GrizzLee is also one to look for!

I have signed a contract with KCAA radio-Iheartradio- NBC network & I am excited for my music to be on FM radio station across the U.S. I’ve had alot of radio airplay in Europe, Mexico etc. But glad to break through the mold here in America!

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?

I am self taught. I have a natural knack for networking.
Confidence & perseverance.

Who cares if some people don’t like my music and other’s do?
I made this album because it is what I love to do. I wrote every song from experience & it is very relatable.

Don’t let anyone stop you from doing what YOU love! It is YOUR life, not theirs 🙂

Looking back over the past 12 months or so, what do you think has been your biggest area of improvement or growth?

The past year I have been working on myself. I had a toxic relationship for 4 years that literally sucked the life out of me. I had to wake up one day and say “This isn’t how I want to live life or what is best for my children” So I dusted off my shoulders so to speak and made changed mentally. Emotionally. Spiritually and even physically.
I am a new version of myself & God inspired & I love who I am and who I am becoming!
