Meet Jonathan Miles

We recently connected with Jonathan Miles and have shared our conversation below.

Hi Jonathan, we’re so appreciative of you taking the time to share your nuggets of wisdom with our community. One of the topics we think is most important for folks looking to level up their lives is building up their self-confidence and self-esteem. Can you share how you developed your confidence?

Introspection is the greatest tool that I used to develop my confidence and self-esteem. Taking time to sort through experiences throughout the day helps me develop into the type of person that I know I am becoming. To be that person I have to have an unshakable confidence. One really cool way I use to rewire my thinking into practicing really good habits that reinforce confidence is knowing that you are the artist of your own mosaic. Being the creator of your own reality means you can take the parts you don’t like and trade them for something completely new or build upon what you have. I used my really good framework that my parents gave my siblings and I to give me an additional boost in confidence for any and all skills that I have been developing over the years. Which leads the lifestyle of supreme confidence and unwavering self-esteem.

Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?

Outside of my own business, I am apart of an organization called Bridging The Gap Coffee Company. We import Kenyan coffee and ship roast to order for maximum quality purposes. Being apart of that team is an amazing experience that I am grateful for. It motivates me to push for more growth. I also just was recognized for my skillset in mixology as an ATL Culture Shaker 2024. The recognition is given to minorities who push boundaries and make a damn good cocktail. I recently started exploring more hidden talents such as acting, I recently was cast as another love interest in a music video so my portfolio is expanding fast with more projects coming soon that I am really excited about! Creativity is something that is freeing so I enjoy so getting to be creative in how I work within certain business and artforms.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?

I believe that having effort in being intentional about how you look and carry yourself, having a passion for being great to the absolute best possible in whatever field or concentration of skill you choose, and lastly learning effective communication skills. The really cool thing about these three traits is anyone can do them no matter where they are in their journey!

One of our goals is to help like-minded folks with similar goals connect and so before we go we want to ask if you are looking to partner or collab with others – and if so, what would make the ideal collaborator or partner?

Absolutely, I am always looking to connect with others within the hospitality space whether that is with private event bartending, consultation, or even menu collaborations where we develop one of a kind cocktails for bars. I am looking to collaborate with more creatives on projects like music videos, commercials, skits, and even film. I am also looking to compete more in the mixology space and more cocktail competitions. Lastly I am always looking to partner with local roasters, breweries, cafes or anyone interested in coffee and or coffee products. I am not limited to just what is listed, if you have any additional inquires about collaborations don’t hesitate to reach out to me.
