We were lucky to catch up with Nicolli Massachi recently and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Nicolli, appreciate you sitting with us today to share your wisdom with our readers. So, let’s start with resilience – where do you get your resilience from?
My resilience is rooted in embracing my uniqueness. Throughout my life, I’ve approached things differently—whether it’s in my thoughts, actions, or the way I dress. Growing up, this uniqueness often led to social challenges, including bullying, which taught me the value of resilience. I’ve always balanced being social with my introverted tendencies, which has been crucial in nurturing my entrepreneurial spirit. This journey has involved significant personal growth and periods of solitude. To be a successful entrepreneur, one must think differently, and it’s this mindset that has helped me overcome many obstacles and solidified my resilience.
Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?
I’m the founder and CEO of Incite, a technology company I established with my business partner and CTO, Andrew Urbanowicz. Our mission at Incite is ambitious: to unify and assimilate all known intelligence into a single collective intelligence. This initiative aims to consolidate all relevant real-time information efficiently, enabling people to make informed decisions swiftly. We began with a focus on global financial markets, supporting over 100,000 assets, including stocks and cryptocurrencies. What’s exciting is our plan to expand this approach into other intelligence categories like sports, real estate, and law, broadening our scope and enhancing our impact.
If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
Entrepreneurship doesn’t demand a fixed set of skills; rather, it requires identifying problems that your unique skill set can solve, learning continuously, and knowing when to delegate. For me, being a jack of all trades, having deep financial expertise, and being solution-oriented were pivotal. A generalist approach has been crucial, as it mirrors the diverse intelligence—from stocks to real estate—that Incite encompasses. My background in finance not only provided the foundational knowledge necessary for starting with financial markets but also equipped me with the skills to grow Incite as a business. Adopting a solution-oriented mindset enabled me to learn and adapt to challenges effectively. Lastly, patience has been essential. Dreaming big requires a long-term perspective, and patience is vital as you navigate the path to realization. For those early in their journey, my advice is to cultivate these qualities by embracing continuous learning, being adaptable, and maintaining steadfastness in your vision.
Alright, so before we go we want to ask you to take a moment to reflect and share what you think you would do if you somehow knew you only had a decade of life left?
Balancing various critical improvements is one of the greatest challenges at Incite. Given our limited resources, efficiency is key. We constantly juggle enhancing user feedback-driven improvements, expanding our distribution channels, optimizing our funnel, and broadening our product offerings. This balancing act requires a strategic approach where prioritization is based on impact potential and resource availability. Managing these challenges involves a clear understanding of our long-term goals and aligning our short-term actions to support these objectives effectively. We focus on iterative improvements and lean heavily on data to guide our decisions, ensuring that every resource expended maximizes value to our users and our company’s growth.
