Meet Luis Estrada

We were lucky to catch up with Luis Estrada recently and have shared our conversation below.

Luis, we’re so excited for our community to get to know you and learn from your journey and the wisdom you’ve acquired over time. Let’s kick things off with a discussion on self-confidence and self-esteem. How did you develop yours?

As a coach, I’ve learned firsthand and with clients that building confidence and self-esteem comes from stacking wins! Figuring out what the smallest achievable action you’re willing to do today that you can build on! Every win, no matter how small gives you a boost of dopamine and self esteem that you start looking for the next thing to overcome or accomplish! You’ll get to a point where you can collect enough wins to know that no matter what comes in front of you, you CAN accomplish it!

Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?

I am the Head Coach and Owner of TeamEstrada Coaching! I help men and women across the nation rebuild their confidence, create physiques they can be proud of, and ultimately live more fulfilling and healthy lives! I found my passion for coaching others by witnessing firsthand how fitness changed and saved my own life! I know what it’s like to live day by day with anxiety and insecurities, but over the years fitness has helped me overcome my self doubts and chase after bigger and bigger goals! Now I focus helping others do the same thing!

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?

I think the main 3 qualities and skills that I developed were compassion, empathy, and directness. As a coach, I have to be able to see the challenges my clients face through their perspective and come up with plans, habits, and tips to help them overcome. Understanding that everyone is different and everyone will require a different level of coaching is key to helping as many people as possible. We have a culture of winning and positivity on our team and making sure that you know you’re not alone in your journey is where TeamEstrada Coaching is second to none!

Do you think it’s better to go all in on our strengths or to try to be more well-rounded by investing effort on improving areas you aren’t as strong in?

I truly believe it is incredibly important to double down on your strengths while also learning to network! Understanding that everyone has gifts and abilities that come easily for them, you can then find others who are strong where you might fall short! It’s important to have an understanding in all areas, but if you can prioritize what you’re already good at and receive help where you’re not by someone who is specialized in that area, more work can be successfully accomplished! This has helped tremendously in my own business as well as helping my clients become more efficient in their own lives! I know I was meant to help others through coaching, so I built a team that can handle the backend of the business so I can focus on what I’m good at. The same way clients hire me to help improve their health and take the thinking out of it so they can go and focus on what they’re good at while still accomplishing their fitness goals!
