We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful David Scott. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with David below.

David, so good to have you with us today. We’ve always been impressed with folks who have a very clear sense of purpose and so maybe we can jump right in and talk about how you found your purpose?

I found my purpose from doing what I love the most and that’s my art in my spare time. I also love cleaning, restoring and customizing shoes. I’ve been doing it for 7 years now and it’s still going strong.

Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?

My story is self explanatory starting from cleaning my own shoes to perfecting my craft on other people shoes has turned into my passion. Being able to produce miracles on people’s shoes and getting positive feedback makes me the artist that I am today. I’m always willing to learn new things when it comes to what I do. My brand is simple cause it’s not just a brand, it’s the brand and it’s what I perfected.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?

I’ve got the ability to match certain colors of paint and mix to shoes whenever I’m restoring or customizing. Being able to look at a customer’s shoes and analyze how I could fix their shoes. And when it comes to customizing I have a good sense of brainstorming to figure out how I want to design them. If I had any advice for somebody wanting to start a business I would have to say create a brand/logo that stands for whatever it is that you do and the support will come along.

Okay, so before we go we always love to ask if you are looking for folks to partner or collaborate with?

My goal is to collaborate with celebrities from music artist to sports players I’m looking to build and expand my business in any way possible.
