Meet Jasmine Love

Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Jasmine Love. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Jasmine, first a big thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts and insights with us today. I’m sure many of our readers will benefit from your wisdom, and one of the areas where we think your insight might be most helpful is related to imposter syndrome. Imposter syndrome is holding so many people back from reaching their true and highest potential and so we’d love to hear about your journey and how you overcame imposter syndrome.

Oh man this is something I still have moments of fighting to this day, but when I catch myself thinking less of myself, I will try to look at the glass half full instead of half empty. I will hype myself up! I can be my biggest critic or my biggest hype man. I’ll just start saying positive things about myself and thinking and looking back on all my accomplishments. I tell myself girl you got it going on lol. And I’ll start believing it’s true, because why wouldn’t it be! Learning to practice self love is the first step to overcoming any imposter syndrome and self doubt. Speaking highly about yourself out loud and always making time for self care days and your hobbies, will always get you in the right mind set to believe more in yourself.

Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?

Growing up I always loved music I always talked about how I’ll love to sing and write music even learning an instrument was always my dream. But others didn’t see it that way. I was told to go model or play spots cause of my hight, and that there’s already a singer in the family so leave it to them to do. So I became more reserved and stop talking as much it killed my confidence a little I went for modeling and put a lot of time into dance and other career journeys. It was good but I wasn’t satisfied with nothing ever! Because I was lying to myself. So I told myself I going sing I don’t care what they say, I slowly posted videos of me doing small cover songs and joined a Christmas chore at one point and I always got good responses from people that were wishing me the best so, I focused on the support and stayed working on myself and learning my voice. I built up more confidence over time to do what I love and now I have music on all music platforms and currently working on my first album and getting my name out into the music seen!

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?

Always practice self love.
Don’t let others stop you from trying new things cause no one can see your dreams like you can.
Surround yourself with positive energy thoughts and good people that support one another it’ll take time to get your environment full of good support but keep working on it.

How can folks who want to work with you connect?

Yes I’ll love to network and work with other artists content creators and brands I’ll love to perform at events and festivals.
