We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Ajia Munns. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Ajia below.
Hi Ajia , really happy you were able to join us today and we’re looking forward to sharing your story and insights with our readers. Let’s start with the heart of it all – purpose. How did you find your purpose?
Can you imagine life without inspiration? I can’t!
I’ve been a storyteller since I was a small, tender girl. I used to foster bedtime stories and tell them to my younger sister (Natalie) before we drifted asleep. To this day I still daydream myself to sleep. I write poetry, scripts, and books. I love novels and fiction as well. I now put my daydreams on my pages, and try to bring them to life but I wasn’t always clear about my purpose. However, I had a “knowing” since I was three years old and finding my purpose was like finding my breath, it’s not something to find, it’s something to allow and deepen. Deepen by getting better in every way. Your purpose is something you do without thinking or trying, until judgment sets in. I find for most people it’s that thing that almost comes too easy.

Let’s take a small detour – maybe you can share a bit about yourself before we dive back into some of the other questions we had for you?
I’m an American multi-talented magnate author. There are three aspects to me I call SEE, Storytelling, Entrepreneurship, and Empowerment. Storytelling is my writing, acting, and producing story. Entrepreneurship is taking my career into my own hands and starting my own production company Geminae Productions and a few other companies as well. Finally, Empowerment is the work I do around wellness, speaking and leading in the mindfulness space. It has been said that I leverage my spiritual practice to uplift and connect with others collaborating with school programs and events all over the world to teach others how to incorporate mindfulness meditation into their daily lives. I strongly believe in the merging of arts and mental wellness as the key to enhancing our communities.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
The three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in my journey are my innate ability to use my inner reality to produce my outer form, my reliance, and understanding the power of inspiration. It has been said the highest form of human contribution is inspiration.
My advice is to learn who you are and love yourself deeply. Lean into what’s good about you and heal what’s not. Lead with understanding when it comes to yourself and follow through with action.

How can folks who want to work with you connect?
It is time for me to invite the best people possible to work with, starting with hiring a team.
