Meet Tameka Harris

Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Tameka Harris. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Tameka, so great to have you with us and we want to jump right into a really important question. In recent years, it’s become so clear that we’re living through a time where so many folks are lacking self-confidence and self-esteem. So, we’d love to hear about your journey and how you developed your self-confidence and self-esteem.
Growing up I had a strong family foundation. My parents taught me to believe in myself and that I can do anything I put my mind to if I try. They made sure I was actively involved in community groups such as McKnight Achievers. Groups like this taught me about career exploration, leadership, the power of positive speaking and giving back to people in my community. As I grew up I began to maintain that level of confidence by being grounded in the Word of God. I believe that, “All things work together for good to those who love the Lord.” and I believe that if I ask and believe, I shall receive.

Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?
Always Truth Incorporated is dedicated to teaching, reaching, and uplifting, to help inspire people through motivational speaking, books, poetry, and educational rap. In order to grow as a speaker, I joined Toastmasters and won best speaker in Toastmaster’s Speech Competition. I also had the opportunity to receive coaching from an international public speaker. I graced the stage as a poet at the Georgia World Congress Center, was invited to be on The Good Life on WTGL TV 45, and was interviewed on several radio shows. Always Truth Incorporated’s mission is to provide quality educational services to benefit people of all ages in the areas of writing, reading, character education, and life skills. Always Truth Incorporated assists in creating an environment where students are motivated to strive for excellence. I have the ability to teach students/adults in a fun way that fosters a love for learning and growth through poetry, educational rap, and motivational speaking. It brings me so much joy to hear how my products/services have positively impacted people in the community.

We plan to continue our annual Book Signing and School Supply Giveaway. This year it is held on Saturday, July 15th at Lake Vista Recreation Center. In addition, I will continue to produce inspirational and educational social media content. I am especially excited about the release of my Sight Word Song which is available on Always Truth Incorporated’s YouTube Channel.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
Resilience, determination, and faith, along with my educational degrees were important skills/qualities that allowed me to have a successful journey as an entrepreneur. Resilience was needed when I had to rebuild my business after moving from Orlando to St. Petersburg. Although it seemed impossible for me to achieve success, I remembered the positive affirmations and quotes from the Bible that helped me to adapt and was able to build a successful business. I was determined to set and achieve goals in order to be aligned with the grand vision for my business. Lastly, faith was needed when I resigned from teaching and stepped out on faith to start my business. There were a lot of reservations, but my faith in God allowed me to believe that this would be a successful journey.

How can folks who want to work with you connect?
Always Truth Incorporated is looking forward to expanding partnerships with local and national corporations who have an interest in education, character development of youth, educational parental trainings, and resources for parents. This will allow Always Truth Incorporated to positively impact youth and adults on a greater level. I am also looking to connect with other motivational speakers and educators who have a passion to build confidence and character in youth of all ages. I think it would be great to connect, share resources, and host a conference in the St. Petersburg/Tampa area for youth and parents. If you want to partner with Always Truth Incorporated to positively impact the youth on a larger scale, contact me at https://linktr.ee/alwaystruthincorporated.
