We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Yona Lewis. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Yona below.
Yona, so great to have you with us and we want to jump right into a really important question. In recent years, it’s become so clear that we’re living through a time where so many folks are lacking self-confidence and self-esteem. So, we’d love to hear about your journey and how you developed your self-confidence and self-esteem.
I strongly believe in being kind to myself it helps me recognize unkind thoughts by focusing on the positive and repeating positive statements. Even if I have to act confident when I don’t feel it that allows me to still develop new skills and network by doing what I enjoy. Mostly, by taking on challenges and being responsible for the results signifies confidence within my ambitions.
Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?
Let me just start off by saying “I never thought of being anything that I am today.” I suppose when God says move that mean move. I saw myself as this city/country girl who graduated in the medical field and being just that for a living. Thanks to my family as my support system. For me, it was the principle of learning something so therapeutic and life-changing for others to just simply look beautiful to their full potential. It was like everything I manifested through prayer, yoga and meditation is becoming unfolded. I am a aspiring Model who over a course of years became a Asst. Yoga Instructor/Herbalist, Nail Tech, Aesthetician. I decided to plan on opening an actual business of my own servicing the community changing lives through my work and future ‘Organic Herbal’ products (Coming soon). My ultimate goal in my career field is to help other people to learn the same talent as me whether it’s Yoga or in the beauty industry. I’ve also signed a contract in Atlanta as well so now my Georgia clients can catch me every week as well.
If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
The 3 areas of knowledge that was mostly impactful I would have to say is: Knowing myself and the world in the Now, Knowing myself and the world in and through exchanges with others, and Knowing myself and the world through knowing the directionality of progressive evolution in the Universe & essential nature was the toughest impact throughout my journey in my career.
You need knowledge of how to maintain not just in the industry but in your environment as well. See your goals well in advance and just predict on how to not waste your time and effort. Seek education.
Tell us what your ideal client would be like?
My ideal clients would be like models, artists, 9-5 workers who are into beauty. Understanding for me that most of my clients (men &women) that are between the age of 18-34 years old is just 40% of my clientele versus the millennials who are 60%. Clients who utilize social media and take advantage of my referral program also is an ideal client. Lastly, health conditions is what I look for as well in my clients.
