Meet Markus Kaulius

We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Markus Kaulius. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Markus below.

Hi Markus, we’re so appreciative of you taking the time to share your nuggets of wisdom with our community. One of the topics we think is most important for folks looking to level up their lives is building up their self-confidence and self-esteem. Can you share how you developed your confidence?

I’d like to start by telling you that I haven’t always had confidence and self-esteem. In fact, I had little to none. For my first fifteen years, I walked around with a world-defining mix of fear and sadness. I was bullied so hard in those years and I believed what was said about me and I believed I deserved the way I was being treated. I knew there had to be more to life than this.

I started reading books on confidence and mindset. Tony Robbins became my first mentor and my life started to change so quickly.

For the last thirty years I have been on a beautiful growth journey. I love learning, but more specifically, I love learning what the human mind and body are capable of. If I have to sum up, in one paragraph, what thirty years of studying confidence and self-esteem has taught me, here is what I would say:

Start the journey today. Take action every day. Learn every day. This action and learning will, in itself, produce confidence and self-esteem. It won’t take long before you realize you are doing more than ninety-nine percent of humanity and you deserve more out of life than ninety-nine percent of humanity. You deserve to win because you put in the work.

Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?

I have been an entrepreneur for almost 30 years. I love everything about entrepreneurship! I have started, bought into, invested in and sold many businesses. Now I get to give back!

Today, I am truly living the entrepreneur dream. Since selling one of my biggest businesses in 2023 (a business I took from $0 to over $170 million in global sales), I now spend my time speaking on stages and mentoring CEOs and executives running businesses.

I had the benefit of learning from so many brilliant people who were further on the business path than I was and now I get to be the man to pass on everything I have learned.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?

My addiction to personal growth and expansion kept me looking for better answers and believing I was still far from the “finish line.” (I still believe I am far from the finish line!)

My backstory made me the right guy to do what I have done. Growing up poor taught me so much about money and how to get ahead without it. Being bullied taught me about mercy and compassion and gave me so much love for humanity.

But most importantly, my faith gets credit from everything I have done and will ever do. To suggest it was me opening all the doors of opportunity or creating the success in so many businesses would simply be a lie. Also, without faith, I would have been crushed under the weight of stress and fear decades ago!

Okay, so before we go we always love to ask if you are looking for folks to partner or collaborate with?

I am always looking to work with great people! One of the most important traits I look for in people I am going to work with is self-awareness. Without self-awareness, growth is very difficult. Self-awareness opens us up to the idea that we arent perfect and we have room to grow. It also welcomes coaching and direction from others. Not to mention, it is simply more fun to be around someone who doesn’t believe they are perfect!
