Meet Pedro Garcia

We recently connected with Pedro Garcia and have shared our conversation below.

Pedro, looking forward to learning from your journey. You’ve got an amazing story and before we dive into that, let’s start with an important building block. Where do you get your work ethic from?

I get my work ethic from my father , watching him wake up every morning at 4am to go do what he loves (truck driving) inspired me to go out into the world search for something that gets me that excited to get up every morning and get after the day with intent and optimism.

Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?

Well i am a stand up comedian, and what i feel is exciting and special about what i do is the feeling i get thinking about how proud 10 year old Pedro would be if he were to look at what he’s doing right now in the future. My comedy stems from childhood stories to ridiculous observations. Overall my favorite part about stand up comedy is the energy you receive back from the audience knowing you gave them some what of relief in a stressful world , even if it was only for 20 minutes.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?

1. Don’t take anything personal – everyone is living in their own world.

2. Don’t quit – when preparation meets luck is when it happens, could happen at anytime stay ready.

3, have fun- it’s stand up relax.

Who has been most helpful in helping you overcome challenges or build and develop the essential skills, qualities or knowledge you needed to be successful?

Honestly since i started my good friend and hilarious comedian Franco Danger was a big part of me honing and crafting my skills on stage. He would always give me feed back, NEVER pull punches, and constantly be a supportive figure in my career.

Because of his help and insight it’s shaped me to be a better comedian. Every comedian should have a colleague that can help
In this way.

Alex Grubard is another comedian that has helped me in the sense of producing and running shows , because of his advice i have the skills to also produce shows and I’m truly grateful for that.
