Meet Esteban Cabrera

Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Esteban Cabrera. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Alright, so we’re so thrilled to have Esteban with us today – welcome and maybe we can jump right into it with a question about one of your qualities that we most admire. How did you develop your work ethic? Where do you think you get it from?

Growing up, my dad instilled in me a strong work ethic that has shaped who I am today. I remember watching him tackle every task with unwavering determination, whether it was fixing things around the house or putting in long hours at work. He taught me that hard work is not just about the effort you put in, but also about taking pride in what you do and seeing a job through to completion.

Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?

I designed a stand that is placed next to each table at restaurants, breweries, wineries, large events, and ski resort cafeterias. The great part about my product, there is no standard set. In fact, it is in Mexico and parts of Europe but not in the United States (US). My product adds another level of guest/client experience within the hospitality industry in the US. They are also helpful next to chairs at nail and hair salons. These stands are helpful to put your purse, laptop bags, shopping bags, to-go bags, backpacks, hats, coats and baby bags. Currently in the industry a lot of these items are on the floor. Some restaurants offer hooks but only at the bar, but not the tables. Sometimes the solution is the back of the chair. However, many restaurants have chairs with a rounded back and don’t work well at all.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?

1. Understand the industry you are going into
2. I knew there was a problem which needed solving
3. Having a passion and belief in your product

Above are the three items which helped me prior to this venture of PerchMate Inc. However, these three items also serve as pieces of advice to help early on in your journey.

One of our goals is to help like-minded folks with similar goals connect and so before we go we want to ask if you are looking to partner or collab with others – and if so, what would make the ideal collaborator or partner?

Absolutely! We’re eager to partner with individuals and organizations in the furniture distribution space as well as the hospitality industry, including hotels, resorts, wineries, breweries, hair salons, and restaurants. We’re particularly interested in collaborations that emphasize innovation in design, sustainability, and enhancing guest experiences.
