Meet Jonna Capone

We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Jonna Capone. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Jonna below.

Jonna, so many exciting things to discuss, we can’t wait. Thanks for joining us and we appreciate you sharing your wisdom with our readers. So, maybe we can start by discussing optimism and where your optimism comes from?

I would say my optimism comes from the people around me. I have been blessed to have a close family, and loving friends that have supported my positive mindset for the majority of my life. I also had a near death experience while in college and that really changed my perspective on life. Every day and moment we are given in life is a blessing. It takes far more energy to stay stuck and negative than to find the beauty in all moments.

Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?

I have been really blessed to work as a model, singer, actor, influencer, and entrepreneur. I am currently working on my personal training certification as well. I hope to use my background and experience to share my love of wellness. I began my career and influencer page Curvy Capone to share my experience as a body positive artist and model. After being told I was too big and then too small to play certain roles in both theatre and film I decided to take back the power in my industry. I hope by continuing to share my experience and love for my body in all its stages that others will feel empowered to follow their dreams.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?

Looking back I believe that the most impactful skills I acquired to help me in my career was actually working in retail and hospitality positions. I firmly believe that every young adult should be required to work in those industries to learn about service, finances, and how to really connect with people. I believe we lack so much empathy now a days especially in the world of social media. I love social media in so many ways but as an entertainer I find that we have to connect better and more importantly empathize with those we create for and with. I think the skills I acquired working hand and hand with those in hospitality and retail gave me far more insight on working with people and for my own business endeavors.

One of our goals is to help like-minded folks with similar goals connect and so before we go we want to ask if you are looking to partner or collab with others – and if so, what would make the ideal collaborator or partner?

I absolutely am constantly looking for folks to collaborate or partner with. As a singer I would love to work with bands, or songwriters, recording artists and studios etc. As a model I am constantly looking for new photographers to work with. As an actor, I would love to collaborate on scripts, shooting films and creating as much as possible. I am also looking to work with folks on coaching for wellness and their own goals within their lives. Anyone who is looking to connect and partner with me or my marketing work can contact me on social media platforms using the username @Curvy_capone or via email jonnacaponetheactor@gmail.com! I look forward to connecting with more folks!
