Meet Kimaria Howard

We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Kimaria Howard. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Kimaria below.

Hi Kimaria, appreciate you sitting with us today to share your wisdom with our readers. So, let’s start with resilience – where do you get your resilience from?

The women in my family. They went through a lot of things in life that they don’t didn’t talk about much, but meeting them, you would never know. They had a vision for themselves and their families and moved with a goal in mind and the support of each other as they worked through them.

Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?

My name is Kimaria Howard and I am a Financial Representative at Modern Woodmen of America. I got into Financial Advising because in 2020-2021, I lost 4 family members in a year. None of them had life insurance and only 1 had a Will and even that was contested and had us in Probate for 4 yrs. After the last loss of my grandmother that year, I realized how impactful it would have been to have someone like me now, talk to any of my family that I lost and teach them the importance of planning ahead for the sake of the loved ones left behind. Everyone deserves to just grieve when losing a loved one, not worry about financial fallout. My Passion is Legacy Planning. All too often, we go through life with the goal to retire, but don’t keep tabs on the details of how, when, where and what we are building to get there and then have to work past that time OR pass away before then and leave behind more stress than love to those we care about by accident. I want to help create wealthy generations through knowledge, intention and proper planning. We all deserve to enjoy this one life we are given and to positively impact others, even when we are gone. Our Legacy Of Love starts today.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?

Intentionality, Faith and Understanding of how Insurance is the foundation of a solid financial plan. Intention is something a lot of people don’t realize is important because we go for the goal, but don’t think about the real significance. Significance matters! That is your “Why”! Faith for me is an action word. We can say we have Faith, but still try to control everything and not let God do His thing. Actively choosing to do our part, but letting God do His, is the difference maker. Understanding Insurance is essential when looking at building a financial plan that will make a difference for Generations to come through protection and strategy.

Okay, so before we go we always love to ask if you are looking for folks to partner or collaborate with?

I am definitely interested in partnering with non-profit organizations to create Community Events and engagement! I love finding ways to give back to the community and get to know those within it.
