Hi Jean-Paul, really happy you were able to join us today and we’re looking forward to sharing your story and insights with our readers. Let’s start with the heart of it all – purpose. How did you find your purpose?
I think everyone has a gift that is meant to be shared. Sometimes that gift isn’t recognized by others. I went through a situation like this and I found that the key is to not let fear steer you away from what you know to be you. We all have the power of make decisions so make them coming from a place of authenticity and not reacting or afraid.
Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?
We just released our first record (vinyl only) next step is a digital release. I’m excited to tour this project and see what doors open from actually having an album!
At the moment we play all over the Seattle area with Sea Monster Lounge being our home base.
There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
I’m in tune with my inner compass and that has always lead me to where I need to be. I am resilient and am willing to get dirty to get to make my vision happen, and I have integrity enough to stay true to the vision.
My advice is to design your life DONT let it be designed or programmed for you.
What do you do when you feel overwhelmed? Any advice or strategies?
I recommend finding something that allows you to reset your day. For me it’s Basketball, Tennis, or stretching. When I do those activities my mind resets and it makes it easier to deal with things rather than sitting in it and feeling stuck.
