Meet Nour Eid

We recently connected with Nour Eid and have shared our conversation below.

Nour, so good to have you with us today. We’ve always been impressed with folks who have a very clear sense of purpose and so maybe we can jump right in and talk about how you found your purpose?

Behind the scenes of social media, the journey of content creation unfolds with a blend of excitement and challenges. One of the first things you’ll realize is that no one really tells you how to start. Instead, you’re left to navigate the unknown, experimenting with various content styles, formats, engagement strategies, and visual identity until you discover what resonates with your audience. This journey is crucial for uncovering your unique voice and style.
For example, when I first started, I experimented with various color schemes, graphical styles, patterns, fonts, and content types, exploring both the visual and technical aspects of a feed. I went from a minimal aesthetic to a light-dark-light approach, and then to an all-white feed. It was thrilling to see how my audience responded to each shift. Planning my feed on an app to visualize how it would look before posting added another layer of fun to the process. Taking pictures and watching different styles blend on my feed was a source of great enjoyment. This exploration not only helped me refine my unique aesthetic but also made the creative journey more engaging. I would definitely recommend experimenting with various styles and using planning tools to see how your feed evolves. Your feed becomes a unique canvas, reflecting who you are as a content creator and showcasing your personal essence and artistic vision.
As you continue your journey, you’ll have the chance to build connections with exceptional individuals—fellow creators who can become both friends and mentors. These relationships are incredibly valuable, offering support, insights, and encouragement. However, it’s important to recognize that not everyone will be a friend; some may view you as competition or have less supportive intentions. Navigating the social media landscape, with its complexities and rewards, is part of the journey. I’ve had the pleasure of meeting many female content creators, who have been a great source of inspiration and guidance. At the same time, I’ve also encountered individuals who viewed me as competition, which reminded me of the complex dynamics within the content creation world. Personally, I view content creation as an opportunity for personal expression, and I believe it should foster a supportive and safe environment rather than one where people feel discouraged. This perspective motivated me to establish a welcoming group for content creators, where we can uplift one another and have open discussions. @theinfluencerclick aims to foster community and encouragement, showcasing the positive sides of our collective journey.
You will encounter a range of opinions about your posts; it’s a natural part of the journey. Rather than letting these comments bring you down, view them as opportunities for growth. Acknowledge the feedback, but remember that staying true to yourself and your vision is far more important than letting criticism sway you. Use this feedback to refine your approach, but let your passion and authenticity remain your guiding stars. By embracing this perspective, you’ll transform potential setbacks into stepping stones for your creative evolution. For instance, some people initially suggested that posting like an “influencer” was a waste of time. However, as I progressed with my page, those same individuals became curious and asked me about my journey. Focusing on your goals and letting your passion lead you can transform potential negativity into a strong motivator. For anyone afraid of getting bullied, remember that your creativity and dedication will shine through, and over time, even skeptics may come to respect your journey. Use these moments to fuel your growth and inspire others who are just beginning their own paths.
In terms of personal relationships, your true friends will continue to stand by you, offering genuine support throughout your journey. However, you might notice that some relationships change, with certain individuals seeking to leverage your success for their own gain, such as PR opportunities or collaborations. While this shift can be disheartening, it’s a natural part of the evolving journey. It’s a reminder of the value of those who genuinely share in your success and growth.
Remember, your path is uniquely yours. Comparing your progress to others can be discouraging, but instead, let their achievements inspire and motivate you. Each person’s journey is different, and focusing on your own milestones and growth will lead to more fulfilling and positive experiences. I’ve learned this through my own experiences of comparing my progress to others, only to realize that focusing on my personal milestones and celebrating my unique journey has been far more rewarding. For example, I remember feeling disheartened when I saw others rapidly gaining followers while my growth was slower. Shifting my focus to the genuine connections I was forming and the creativity I invested in my content brought a deeper sense of fulfillment.
Content creation is a powerful tool that can positively impact your daily life. It promotes creativity, self-expression, and the chance to form meaningful connections and share impactful messages. Embrace the journey with all its highs and lows, knowing that every experience shapes a vibrant and purposeful narrative. I want to encourage you to trust in your unique vision and voice. Don’t be afraid to experiment and make mistakes, as they are essential parts of the learning process. Remember, it’s not about the number of likes or followers, but about the authenticity and passion you bring to your work. Remain true to yourself, allowing your creativity to shine. Celebrate your progress, no matter how small it seems, and use every challenge as a stepping stone towards your growth. Your journey is uniquely yours, and it has the power to inspire and uplift others. Continue moving forward, believing in the beautiful story you are crafting.

Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?

I grew up in Beirut, Lebanon, a captivating Middle Eastern country known for its stunning landscapes, delicious cuisine, and rich cultural heritage. Lebanon is known for its hospitality, with locals always ready to welcome guests with open arms and generous hearts. The breathtaking views of the Mediterranean Sea and the mountains make Lebanon a truly magical place. From the sparkling coastline to the majestic peaks, the natural scenery is truly magical and leaves a lasting impression on all who visit.

Lebanon also has a vibrant artistic dimension. Our country is culturally rich and home to many influencers, artists, and models who have gained international recognition. Beloved figures such as Nour Arida, Karen Wazen, Cynthia Samuel, and many others are just a few examples of the talent that originates from Lebanon. Growing up in such an artistically rich environment, I was constantly inspired by the creativity and achievements around me.

One thing I always admire about Lebanese people is our remarkable resilience. Despite facing numerous hardships, we continue to stand tall. This is deeply ingrained in our spirit. As a Lebanese, I will always remind myself of this strength and perseverance, especially when I face challenges and feel like giving up on my dreams.

My upbringing was centered around my close-knit family, where I cherished the strong bonds we shared with our extended family. Growing up, my home was always filled with laughter, love, and the aroma of delicious lebanese cuisine. One of my favorite memories is sitting in the cozy kitchen with my grandmother, learning the art of cooking traditional lebanese dishes, her hands skillfully mixing ingredients while she shared stories of our heritage. We would also spend hours playing cards together, her eyes twinkling with mischief and wisdom as she sipped her strong black coffee. My childhood was a tapestry of joyful moments, vibrant family gatherings, and cherished traditions. We celebrated life’s milestones with zest, whether it was a festive holiday or a simple Sunday meal. These experiences, steeped in love and togetherness, have deeply shaped who I am today. They have instilled in me a profound appreciation for family and culture, guiding me as I navigate my own journey.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?

Perseverance and Adaptability: Overcoming initial challenges and evolving with feedback.

Community Building and Networking: Creating supportive connections and fostering a sense of community.

Emotional Resilience and Authenticity: Handling criticism constructively while staying true to my vision.

When starting content creation, don’t let the fear of criticism hold you back. Focus on creating what you love and what feels true to you. Negative feedback will come, but it shouldn’t stop you from expressing your passion. Embrace your creativity, learn from constructive criticism, and ignore the rest. Celebrate your progress and stay connected with supportive communities. Remember, your journey is about sharing your unique voice and enjoying the process, not about pleasing everyone.

If you knew you only had a decade of life left, how would you spend that decade?

One of the main challenges I encounter as a student is finding the right balance between content creation and my studies as a psychology major. The expectations in our field are quite high, especially since I aspire to join a respected master’s program, which often leads to a busy schedule with many commitments. I truly enjoy being active on campus and connecting with my community, as it brings me a sense of fulfillment. However, my enthusiasm for participating in campus activities and focusing on my academic goals can sometimes pull my attention away from content creation. To navigate these competing priorities, I make an effort to plan and schedule my content in advance. This helps me stay engaged with my creative pursuits while also fulfilling my academic and community obligations.
