We were lucky to catch up with Trung Do recently and have shared our conversation below.
Trung, we’re so excited for our community to get to know you and learn from your journey and the wisdom you’ve acquired over time. Let’s kick things off with a discussion on self-confidence and self-esteem. How did you develop yours?
According to my experience, to develop yourself, the important thing is to recognize your mistakes and find ways to solve them. Don’t hesitate, don’t keep repeating those mistakes, just look at reality and accept it. I’m not the type of person who likes to complain about a problem, because instead of trying to justify myself like this or that, I find another way. I’m also not afraid to speak out my opinion, I’m willing to say frankly what I don’t like.
Being willing to argue is what gives me confidence.
I rate my ability to recover from failure quite highly. Of course, at some point my confidence will also decline, but I always have my own way to think positively and help myself get back on track.

Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?
My journey to becoming a videographer began with a spark of love and inspiration from my wife. She was the one who encouraged me to pick up a camera and capture the beauty of our outdoor adventures. Looking through the lens, I saw joy, laughter, and happy tears – and I knew I wanted to capture those moments forever.
But it was my wife’s enthusiasm and support that truly ignited my passion for wedding videography. She saw something in me that I never saw in myself – a creative eye and a storyteller’s heart. She urged me to pursue my dreams, learn and grow, and share my talents with the world.
Together, we began documenting the love stories of friends and family, and soon our passion project became a career. With every wedding we shoot, I see the impact it has on couples – how it makes them relive the magic of their special day, how it brings them closer together, and how it becomes a treasured family heirloom.
I am forever grateful to my wife for believing in me, for inspiring me, and for being my partner in every sense of the word. She is the reason I get to do what I love every day – capturing the beauty of love and preserving the memories that matter most.”
My studio name is TrulySweety, a combination of my name and my wife’s name “Trung and Ly”. I want to bring a meaningful message, which is the sweetest and most sincere things.
For over 5 years, I have been honored to capture the beauty of our couple’s stories. Capturing the essence of who you are in a real, intentional, and authentic way that transcends generations. My passion is storytelling that makes you feel and gives you so much more than just a wedding film. No two films you see on this page will ever be the same and that is intentional. Each film is a true reflection of who our couples are, their hearts, their vulnerabilities, and their family, a true bespoke narrative. Your wedding day is so much more than just one day and my belief is that through your marriage, you can change the world. Every story can be seen, but I want you to remember how it felt.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
Looking back, I think three qualities that are essential to me for wedding filming are dedication – the willingness to learn – always being confident in the product I have created. I’m not really a person who has any great success in my career, so I only have a small share that there are many very good people out there that we really don’t know about. Cultivating knowledge is truly endless.

Okay, so before we go, is there anyone you’d like to shoutout for the role they’ve played in helping you develop the essential skills or overcome challenges along the way?
As I said above, I am not really successful in my career. I am just a person who is developing day by day. The person who helps me think that I must always try in life is my family, they are the motivation that helps me to strive, to be better and better.
The inspiration in my career is watching romantic movies with my wife. There are very long road trips with my family. I am a person who does not like noise, I love nature. We listen to music and watch movies on the road, it gives me a lot of inspiration.
