Meet She Mack

We recently connected with She Mack and have shared our conversation below.

She, we’re so excited for our community to get to know you and learn from your journey and the wisdom you’ve acquired over time. Let’s kick things off with a discussion on self-confidence and self-esteem. How did you develop yours?

Being the best in the room did not always mean being the prettiest in the room for me. Especially growing up, I think that in our adolescent years we all had our kinks and quirks that made us feel unsure at times and kids back then did not think twice about pointing them out. However, the only difference that stems from that is how we use those flaws to make us stand out or be perceived differently. That made me focused more on developing my personality and allowing that to shine aside from just looks. Now I definitely won’t say I did not care about the way I look and definitely had my influences that assisted in my personal style, but the flair is from within and that’s unmatched. I never wanted to fit in any type of group or niche, and the people who actually have or do surround me, just get it.

Believing in what you came here to do is about having confidence, it’s Godfidence. Knowing what makes you different, trusting in your purpose, choosing not to change your inner core, but allow it to bloom in the most gracious and authentic way, is what self-esteem looks like. I know that everyone’s journey is different, and I chose to came her to bask in mines and that is something I would not change for the world. Getting to know myself on profound levels is an experience that I’m blessed to master and still mastering, so why would I want to be anyone else? We are all building ourselves from the ground up and adding new dimension to our lives and who we are, or shedding the kinks that we have may outgrown. That’s a lifelong journey within itself which I am grateful to individually witness. That’s exactly what I am, an individual, and that individualism is BOLD baby!

Let’s take a small detour – maybe you can share a bit about yourself before we dive back into some of the other questions we had for you?

As a Pro Makeup Artist, Brand Ambassador, and Beauty & Lifestyle Content Creator, my work centers around showcasing my artistry and marketing abilities.

Every piece of content I create — from the makeup tutorials, product reviews, to my day to day posts exudes my creative and authentic expression while also valuing the beauty products that I believe in. Aside from self-expression, building connections with my clientele is also at the heart of my brand, and I am always actively seeking feedback from them to improve my services.

Traveling for business is another exciting element of my business. Whether I am flying out for an exclusive collaboration or attending marketing events, it allows me to connect with other professionals and influencers with similar experience while also learning about some of the brands you know and love that are apart of today’s trends.

Building meaningful connections has been most important to me lately. Many of the people that I have met in this realm of my journey have led to a vibrant community of support, and the fact that they share similar interests often inspire collaboration and creative exchange. Whether it’s sharing tips, attending events together, or simply providing encouragement, these relationships have enriched my life and work in countless ways.

Thinking about all the amazing connections I’ve made lately, I’m excited to share that I’ll be offering one on one makeup sessions in Atlanta this month to the end of the year! During these sessions, I’ll work closely with you to understand your specific concerns and preferences. Whether you’re looking to master a particular technique, enhance your everyday look, or explore new styles, I’ll provide hands-on guidance to help you achieve your desired results.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?

First would be stay open to learning. There’s so much value in being receptive to new ideas, especially from those who may have more experience. No matter how much you know, there’s always room for growth, so don’t shy away from learning something new from others.

Second, have the courage to make connections, and more important, follow through. It’s easy to talk about collaborating or brainstorming ideas, but actually executing those ideas, especially when you’re nervous, can be the driving force to the rest of the game. Push through and take action because those moments often lead to the best opportunities.

Lastly, remember that time is precious. Give yourself space to develop your skills and ideas. The more time you invest in your growth, the better the end goals will be. If something is meant for you, it won’t pass you by, just keep putting in the work behind the scenes, and trust the timing of your journey.

Okay, so before we go we always love to ask if you are looking for folks to partner or collaborate with?

Absolutely! I’m always looking to collaborate with like minded individuals that are free in their expression, especially in the beauty industry. Whether it’s creators, makeup artists, photographers, videographers, models, or even studio owners, I’m drawn to those who embrace their creativity and aren’t afraid to push boundaries. I love working with people who have unique perspectives and are passionate about their craft.

If you’re reading this and feel like we could create something amazing together, do not hesitate to reach out! You can connect with me through social media or email, and I’d love to explore ideas and see where our collaboration takes us.
