We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Steven Neuner a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Steven, we’re thrilled to have you on our platform and we think there is so much folks can learn from you and your story. Something that matters deeply to us is living a life and leading a career filled with purpose and so let’s start by chatting about how you found your purpose.
Finding my purpose has been a gradual journey that’s unfolded over time. It began with a strong desire to make a positive impact on those around me. As I explored different avenues in my career, I discovered that my true calling lies in helping others grow and succeed.
My family has been a huge support throughout this journey. They encourage me to chase my passions and help me stay focused on what truly matters. Having that strong foundation keeps me grounded and reminds me of my priorities every day.
Ultimately, I’ve learned that purpose can change over time. It’s about being open to new experiences and regularly checking in on what motivates me. Each step I take brings me closer to understanding my mission in life.

Right now, I’m involved in a few exciting projects. At BarnHill Vineyards (www.BarnHillVineyards.com), we create fun and connected events for those who appreciate simpler times and fine wines. We host laid-back, adults-only live music concerts on weekends, monthly family-friendly Sip and Shops featuring local artisans, wine tastings, and various private events. Our vineyards provide a beautiful backdrop with majestic sunsets, friendly faces, and a rustic barn—perfect for making lasting memories with loved ones.
With Superpowers (www.SuperpowersHQ.com), we empower entrepreneurs to achieve new levels of freedom and growth. We focus on building strong teams through the right-fit Executive Assistants, providing coaching, curriculum, and a community for growth-minded individuals.
At BigWheel Growth Partners (www.StevenJNeuner.com), we create engaging books and concepts for both children and adults that inspire growth and positive change. We also offer public speaking on these topics, aiming to help purpose-driven individuals make a meaningful impact in their families and communities.

As an Entrepreneurial Coach with The Strategic Coach (www.strategiccoach.com), I have the privilege of working with some of the best entrepreneurs and business owners. Since becoming a client of Dan Sullivan’s in 2005 and a coach since 2019, I leverage my experiences to facilitate impactful conversations that bring Dan’s concepts to life in practical ways.
I’m passionate about helping successful entrepreneurs enjoy more freedom and fulfillment while maintaining growth and purpose.
Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
Looking back, I’d say three key qualities that have shaped my journey are resilience, a growth mindset, and strong communication skills.
Resilience has been vital. Every challenge has offered a lesson, and I’ve learned that setbacks are just part of the process. For those starting out, embrace the tough moments—they’re opportunities for growth.
Having a growth mindset is equally important. Always be open to learning and adapting. Surround yourself with people who inspire you and push you to think differently.
Lastly, strong communication skills can’t be underestimated. Clear communication builds trust and fosters collaboration. Make an effort to really listen to others and engage in meaningful conversations.
For anyone early in their journey, focus on developing these qualities. They’ll serve you well as you pursue your passions and navigate the road ahead. Stay true to your purpose, and keep moving forward!
Okay, so before we go, is there anyone you’d like to shoutout for the role they’ve played in helping you develop the essential skills or overcome challenges along the way?
Other than my personal faith and relationship with Jesus Christ, I’d have to say my wife, Corey, has been the most influential person in my journey. She’s not just my partner in life; she’s my best friend and an incredible support system. Through every challenge, her encouragement and perspective have helped me stay grounded and focused on what truly matters.
Having a strong family foundation has been essential. With three kids, I’m reminded every day of the importance of prioritizing my family and maintaining a balanced life. Corey and I share the same values, and that alignment keeps us both motivated and purposeful in our work.
Beyond family, I’ve also been fortunate to learn from mentors and fellow entrepreneurs who have shared their insights and experiences. Their guidance has shaped my skills and helped me navigate the complexities of running a business while staying true to my faith.
Ultimately, it’s this combination of family support and mentorship that has empowered me to overcome challenges and grow in my journey.
