We recently connected with Aaron Dukes and have shared our conversation below.
Aaron, looking forward to learning from your journey. You’ve got an amazing story and before we dive into that, let’s start with an important building block. Where do you get your work ethic from?
My work ethic comes from both of my Parents. My Parents have always been very hardworking and making sure my siblings and I are well taken care of. Raising me to be a responsible, respectful and honest man has helped me bring this into my role as an Employee and now a Full Time Business Owner.
Let’s take a small detour – maybe you can share a bit about yourself before we dive back into some of the other questions we had for you?
I was born and raised in Canton, OH where I am currently raising my two children and operating Pristine Steam Wash. I love what I do in the steam cleaning and auto detailing industry. Providing a reliable, convenient and on demand mobile detailing service on site at the customers location is one of the many benefits we offer. Customers who do not have the time, patience, ability or proper resources to do this service themselves really appreciate this being done while they are in the comfort of their home focusing on other tasks or relaxing and doing what they love the most.
Within the next 3 years Pristine Steam Wash will be a Franchise and expanding its services to a broader service area. Other services that we provide are furniture and area rug steam cleaning, food truck cleaning and general steam cleaning services that will fit the customers’ needs. I always like to tell customers who have special requests “If we can steam it, We can clean it”
There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
Honestly I have had a lot of jobs and acquired plenty of skills like customer service, public relations, product knowledge, character and values. These skills have helped me throughout my journey tremendously. Often times people look at working for corporate America as a bad thing. I look at it as a learning experience to help me achieve something greater.
My advice to anyone who is just starting their journey is stay the course and follow your plan. Don’t let the “No’s” or what you are offering make you give up. You learn from them to be better and prepare for that “Yes”. And keep repeating this until you become a master at what you do. Your success is based on you, nobody else.
How would you describe your ideal client?
Our ideal Client are busy parents who do not have the time, patience, ability or proper resources to clean their vehicles or furniture themselves. No more waiting at the detail shop for hours. We bring the detail shop to you by cleaning your vehicle onsite or provide a pick up and delivery option to make it a worry free process.
