Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Lynell Ls. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Hi Lynell, so excited to have you with us today, particularly to get your insight on a topic that comes up constantly in the community – overcoming creativity blocks. Any thoughts you can share with us?

Back in Jan 2024 I was in and freak accident where there was an explosion and I was affected I was in the hospital for almost 2 weeks I was depressed traumatized and didn’t know where Life was going to take me but being that I was still alive feeling like I had been giving a second chance definitely knew I have a purpose here on earth and I am very grateful to still be breathing

Definitely dealing with a lot of challenges recovering from the explosion as well as adapting to my new life I stay optimistic looking at things as you know it could be worse than what it is and it helps that I am in a few support groups I would love to be able to get out and volunteer and support those that are or have been
Through what I’ve been through and still going through

First six months of recovery I was so depressed I was missing events fashion shows and video shoots movie sets etc
I had to stay indoors slowly but surely started back crafting
And started creating things for myself being it was kind of hard for me to find clothes that I felt comfortable and beautiful in and that still protected me so I started creating my own fashion for my condition which I hope to evolve into a whole fashion line for those that are burn survivors

Really feel that is where things could lead me rite now
Helping others in more powerful way giving them their voice back thur fashion “swaggcreator”

And understand not to take everything so personal
Stay playful and active

Alright, so before we go we want to ask you to take a moment to reflect and share what you think you would do if you somehow knew you only had a decade of life left?

This year has been challenging I spent 2 1/2 months in Thailand I left last year November December and came back in January I was home for possibly a week before I had a freak accident where there was an explosion and I was affected second-degree burns and in some areas worse I spent nearly 2 weeks in the hospital after I had to do a lot of physical therapy and I am still doing physical therapy and counseling so this year has really been life-changing for me my healing process is nearly two years and I have to stay out of direct sunlight any sunlight with UV rays ,it has been so depressing being that I love being in the sun I’m an outdoor type of person (im such a sun child)
Also means I am not able to travel as much as I want to especially anywhere hot and super sunny which kind of got me like maybe I’ll explore Europe next year if the doctor says I’m able to travel
My face neck arms n chest was effected some of my scalp too like omg I like was so distraught so I feel more comfortable in longs sleeves and high collars During the past few months I really was focus on healing but also dealing with not being able to do the things that I was used to doing the things that I have pretty much planned for the year it has almost been a year since the accident so I’m very optimistic and grateful that I am still here with breath I definitely have a purpose the accident definitely has shown me who really loves me and who is in my corner
My community poured into me and I am so grateful that I am loved and with their love has helped me embrace some of the new things that I deal with some in which I will have to deal with probably for the rest of my life but they help me feel confident and reassuring me that I am still the star that I was born to be
So I can say this year has been one of the biggest challenges in my life and Not just for my career and my passion but overall I don’t think I’ve ever had to face something so dramatic and challenging
