Meet Wynn Parrott

We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Wynn Parrott a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.

Wynn , we’re thrilled to have you sharing your thoughts and lessons with our community. So, for folks who are at a stage in their life or career where they are trying to be more resilient, can you share where you get your resilience from?

If I had to sum up my story in a single word, resilience would define it.

My small business began with a story of grief. My beloved husband, Kyle, passed unexpectedly in a workplace accident while I was nine months pregnant with our baby girl. The loss of Kyle changed everything for me, including my profession. I spent my professional career as an Art Educator. Thirteen collective years teaching an array of students in sculpture, drawing and painting, crafts, IB and AP Art. I have always loved and embraced creativity and the way art enriches our world. So naturally, when my world turned upside down as a new widow and mom, I turned to art and found purpose and meaning in celebrating big life moments with others. My small business, Bubble and Bash, provides bespoke balloons and party rentals for celebrations big and small. We never know how many birthdays or anniversaries we will have with those we love most. Creating and celebrating life’s big moments with clients has brought me so much joy and purpose while allowing me to be fully invested in my daughters upbringing as a single parent. Life’s hardest moments can launch us into beautiful new beginnings.

Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?

Bubble and Bash specializes in creating unforgettable party experiences with a focus on balloon installations, event rentals, and the trendy Bubble House. We offer a wide range of balloon décor services, from organic balloon columns and arches to more intricate creations like balloon sculptures and marquees. I am passionate about elevating each and every event with unique and custom details and ensuring every clients experience is care-free.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?

Looking back at my growth I believe motivation has to be the driving force in creating any small business. There will be challenges and difficulties. Having a deeply rooted reason to continue each and every day will keep you moving forward. Secondly, you must be willing to ask for help. I often lean on others within my industry and have embraced community over competition. Do not being afraid to ask questions from small business owners you admire and aspire to be like. Lastly, invest in continued education. There is always more to learn from successful professionals in your work field.

All the wisdom you’ve shared today is sincerely appreciated. Before we go, can you tell us about the main challenge you are currently facing?

Growth has been my number one obstacle. I often think I can do it all and events have humbled me. In this industry, you have to collaborate and gauge when to pull in local partners. I have learned to lean on balloon artists in my area for large scale jobs. Investing in partnerships and professional tools have allowed me to successfully scale my business.
