Meet Jui Patil

We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Jui Patil a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.

Hi Jui, thanks for sharing your insights with our community today. Part of your success, no doubt, is due to your work ethic and so we’d love if you could open up about where you got your work ethic from?

I think this has got a deep connection with my interest in spirituality since childhood. I have always been a strong believer of the Divine. India has rich mythology. It is a land of legends like Ram, Krishna, Bhishma, Karan, Dronacharya and many more.. a deep study of mythology lead me to have strong principles in life. Discipline, dedication, devotion has always been present in me. This also goes down to the values my parents have bestowed upon me. In every situation, I have always thought about the benefit of everyone around me, I have made sure my whole team grows along with me. I also have set high payment ethics. No person working with us has ever faced any struggle in getting payments.

Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?

I am Architect Jui Patil (Principal Architect – JRarchitects) We specialise in Residential, commercial Interiors and Architecture design. We have worked all over the globe with a portfolio of over 200 completed projects within the last 14 years.
I am also a visiting faculty in Interior – Architecture colleges over the past decade.
I am a professional Vastu consultant and also have experience in Reiki healing, animal communication

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?

1. Understanding people – A lot of businesses fail because the owners lack understanding power to understand their colleagues/ clients/ staff. One must focus primarily on understanding human behaviour and keep their egos aside. This will help solve most of the problems in all the fields.
2. Payments – As the time has advanced, ugly unethical practices have taken over all in every field. I also have been told by many experienced business men that holding other person’s payments is the key to running a successful business which i absolutely deny! I believe that it just adds to your bad karma and negative energy gets reflected back towards you. I strongly believe that What goes around, comes around so I have been extra cautious in paying all my consultants, staff, vendors, contractors on time if their work has been satisfying. A happy work environment helps a business to succeed.
3. Communication – Clear communication is the key to maintaining successful business relations. Even if one is working with his/her brother, sister, childhood friend, always remember to pen down each and every clause before starting the project and set clear expectations.

To close, maybe we can chat about your parents and what they did that was particularly impactful for you?

Well the most impactful thing my parents did for me is that they did Nothing! After sponsoring my education, they just left me in the open field to face all the challenges by mysellf. I had no initial funding to survive, absolutely nothing. I fell down on the ground, got hit a several times, got up and fought again. They never interfered in my work and this i think was the most impactful thing because at the back of my mind i always knew that i have no support and whatever i have to do, i have to do it all by my own.
