Meet Pilar Ortiz

We were lucky to catch up with Pilar Ortiz recently and have shared our conversation below.

Hi Pilar, thank you for being such a positive, uplifting person. We’ve noticed that so many of the successful folks we’ve had the good fortune of connecting with have high levels of optimism and so we’d love to hear about your optimism and where you think it comes from.

My source of positivity has always been my belief that we are much greater than our bodies. At a very young age, my mom introduced me to the amazing book by Cony Mendez, *Metaphysics 4 in One,* which led me to believe that we are not only physical beings and that our soul (at that time, the only way I could understand this was by using the term “soul”) is who we truly are.

When I was fourteen, I began to understand that our thoughts are energy and that there is a higher power within us. I started having long conversations with myself, trying to comprehend the presence of “I AM” within me. Later, I met three remarkable spiritual women who helped awaken my spiritual journey. They introduced me to the idea that there are light masters supporting humanity, such as Jesus, Mary, and Saint Germain, all mentioned in Cony Mendez’s book. They have been assisting humanity for a long time because a significant shift in consciousness is coming, and we need to be prepared.

In 2002, when I was 27 years old, one of the most special ladies I worked with for a couple of years was Yolanda. She channeled the energy of Mother Mary and taught me how to love myself, practice forgiveness, meditate, and, most importantly, understand the presence of “I AM.” She explained that we are part of God’s energy, and one day we would use this energy to heal and achieve amazing things. When Mother Mary appeared, her messages were beautiful, and the energy completely transformed during her channeling.

At that time, I was fascinated. One day, Yolanda invited me to a celebration at her home. She lived outside of Mexico City in a beautiful place surrounded by trees and nature. The party was magical. Many attendees were experienced meditation instructors, and it was captivating to hear their stories and learn how they became believers in the presence of “I AM.”

Later when I was 30 years old, I started practicing Buddhism for more than ten years, and nowadays, I use Reiki, Theta Healing, and hypnosis to help others remember their connection to the presence of “I AM.” I now understand that we are immersed in God’s energy and that we are all one. This is what I now call consciousness; consciousness is everything; it is the path to learning how to live in heaven on earth.

Experiencing consciousness and understanding that all we need is within us is a huge lesson, and I feel every day I receive more insights and downloads about how amazing we are as humans and that we were never disconnected from the source. Remember that we are all one and that consciousness is the source of anything we desire, is a miracle and a blessing. The source of my optimism has always come from my consciousness. We are amazing beings, and within us lies a light that knows everything and embodies all the beautiful qualities we possess, such as compassion, wisdom, joy, understanding, peace, and empathy.

During my sessions, I access consciousness, and the messages and energy received from the patient are filled with wisdom and overwhelming love. Through my Reiki, Theta Healing, and hypnosis sessions, I have started to see everyone differently because I can now recognize the presence of “I AM” or consciousness in every one of us. I believe humanity is a miracle. One day, together, we will raise our consciousness and be one.

Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?

I am a proud Mexican, born and raised in the vibrant heart of Mexico City. With a degree in Human Resources, my journey has been both personal and professional, deeply rooted in my homeland where my mother and sister still live. I’ve been blessed with a loving marriage to my forever boyfriend, Rommer, and we share our home with two wonderful dogs. A nature lover at heart, I find peace and inspiration in the world around me.
My spiritual journey began early. My mother loves to tell a story about how, as a child, I tried to feed poor kids on TV with my milk bottle, moved by their plight. This compassion has always been a part of me. At fifteen, I read “Metaphysic 4 in 1” by Cony Méndez and chose to connect with God directly, without intermediaries.
At twenty-three, I ventured out from home to Puerto Vallarta, where I landed my first job at a luxury hotel. It was during this time that I sought balance in my life and was told I would find my true love in Venezuela. True to the prophecy, I met my husband when I was transferred there to open a new hotel. I have always believed that flowing with life leads to the right path, and this belief has guided me well.
Rommer and I married in 2003, embarking on a shared journey of meditation and spiritual exploration. In 2018, we moved to Playa del Carmen and embraced Buddhism, which has grounded us and enriched our emotional lives. Our practice has been a cornerstone of our enduring, joyful relationship. Rommer is the most important person in my life; he is my husband, best friend, and the one who keeps me grounded. We have been together for 23 years, and I still feel butterflies in my stomach when he gets home.
We love to travel, and during the time we lived in Costa Rica, we traveled to various places in Asia and Europe. In Asia, we visited countries like Cambodia, Malaysia, India, Nepal, Hong Kong, Thailand, Myanmar, and China. I could write a whole book about our travels. We visited many Buddhist temples and meditated in several of them. This period was a spiritual encounter with ourselves and a wonderful time for us.
My goal is to become an Energy Healer full time and help others remember that we are more than our physical bodies.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?

Listening to my intuition and going with the flow of life has always been a part of me. I try to see the positive in everything, even when things seem challenging, and I always seek balance in my life. I enjoy experiences but try not to become attached to them. I do not consider myself a completely awakened person yet; as one of my Lama teachers used to say, ‘You wouldn’t be here if you were awakened, you would have already dissolved into rainbow light.’ However, I am working on cultivating the awareness that I am the observer, not the protagonist, and I remain connected to my consciousness for longer periods now.
Intuition is the voice of your conscience, guiding and inspiring you to achieve amazing things. It’s the voice that reassures you everything is going to be fine—that you are loved, worthy, beautiful, and wise. We never needed anything from the outside; everything we want is already within.
Seek out people who enjoy meditation and find the spiritual tools that resonate with you. There are many resources available to help us awaken to who we truly are. Consider trying a Reiki session and start meditating, even if it’s just for five minutes. Spend time each day observing your thoughts without becoming attached to them. Over time, you’ll be able to meditate more deeply and feel protected, happy, strong, and healthy.
Through my Reiki sessions, Theta Healing, and QHHT, we connect with your consciousness, and the energy begins to work in your body—cleaning, purifying, and unblocking—allowing you to listen to your true self, little by little. Spend time in nature and be kind to everyone. Smile and be a good citizen by showing compassion to all. Don’t give in to fear; instead, focus your attention and energy on your conscience and higher self. The world needs more kindness. When you engage in random acts of kindness, you positively impact the collective human consciousness, even if you don’t realize it now—you will one day. Go within and start your journey into the spiritual world. The planet needs it.
I want to conclude by explaining the meaning of Reiki. It means ‘Universal Force,’ and to me, it is God’s energy. It’s everywhere and gives life to everything. Reiki energy is like the air we breathe; we don’t see it, but we can feel it. It has always been there, waiting to be acknowledged. Reiki energy is pure love, and it loves us immensely.”

How can folks who want to work with you connect?

My goal is to create a Healing Center that serves as a sanctuary for deep, holistic healing. This center will offer a wide range of transformative energy techniques, including Reiki, Theta Healing, QHHT (Quantum Healing Hypnosis Technique), sound baths, water baths, massages, yoga, meditation, crystal healing, sound healing, and more. A spacious meditation hall will be at the heart of the center, surrounded by nature, with the presence of animals like cats, dogs, and horses to foster a sense of peace and connection.

The Healing Center will also feature a nutritious cafeteria and an herbal pharmacy, offering a holistic approach to wellness. Our mission will be to address the root causes of illness—healing on an emotional, physical, and mental level to prevent recurrence and foster long-term well-being. This will be a space where people can come to recover, rejuvenate, and reconnect with themselves while building a supportive community.

For those not seeking healing from illness but looking to explore their spirituality or learn the art of healing, we will provide workshops to guide individuals on their journey to becoming healers.

I am seeking a like-minded partner who shares this passion and has the financial resources or access to funding to bring this vision to life. This Healing Center will serve as a powerful complement to traditional hospitals, working hand in hand to contribute to global healing. Together, we can create a place of profound transformation and help heal the world.”
