Meet Q Buggs

We recently connected with Q Buggs and have shared our conversation below.

Hi Q, so great to have you on the platform. There’s so much we want to ask you, but let’s start with the topic of self-care. Do you do anything for self-care and if so, do you think it’s had a meaningful impact on your effectiveness?

Self care for me looks like being catered to, catered for, done for. There are times when I am reminded to receive, when I am reminded to let someone serve me, when I am reminded to let someone “cater” to me, instead of being the caterer. How ever, there are times when people are scared to cater to me because of my profession in catering. There are other times when I’m denied being catered to because I am the caterer.

It’s intriguing to be catered to. You may get to experience things that you may have missed, overlooked or even taken for granted while serving someone else. There are always things that people do and look for that you don’t. There are always things that matter to someone else that may not matter to you, even the little things, little touches.

Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?

Infinite Catering & Events is focused on brick and mortar and product development specifically at this moment. While we are still continuing to do our catering and social events, those are our main focuses

ICE SPI.C.E.S is a brand that will eventually only be sold at our brick and mortar location (whatever and where ever that may be). We are still in the works on our 5th product. It may or may not turn into 6 as I’ve been undecided between two recipes.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?

Failure is guaranteed, failure is apart success, learn from it and apply it.

Criticism and research. When you are developing a product, it needs to be tested. You are not your own market. Let people touch it and taste it. Get their honest feedback, listen, and know if and when to apply it.

Learn. Change is inevitable. People change and generations change. What mattered years ago may not matter today or tomorrow. Innovate. Create. Evolve.

Alright so to wrap up, who deserves credit for helping you overcome challenges or build some of the essential skills you’ve needed?
Clients. Always learn from every mistake and everything you did right because you can always do it better. I’ve learned that in the moment, I’ve always thought things were done right. I take pictures of presentations and I record a lot of things. When I relax and sit back and watch all of those things, I realize how much I’ve done wrong, and what I could’ve and should’ve done better. Then I apply it
