We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Amanda Renee. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Amanda below.
Hi Amanda, thank you so much for opening up with us about some important, but sometimes personal topics. One that really matters to us is overcoming Imposter Syndrome because we’ve seen how so many people are held back in life because of this and so we’d really appreciate hearing about how you overcame Imposter Syndrome.
I used to think my imposter syndrome stemmed from not having the “right” degrees or titles. But that was just another story I told myself to stay small, to hide from the passion I’m meant to share with the world. Now, I know my worth doesn’t come from letters after my name—it comes from the experiences and wisdom I’ve gained. By staying grounded, I can hold space for anyone who walks through my door at Healing Awareness LLC, and it has everything to do with presence, not credentials.
Imposter syndrome was a constant, nagging voice in my head, but I’ve learned to overcome it—and continue to—by mastering the art of calling myself back into my center daily. This internal practice is hard to articulate because it’s so deeply rooted in my body, yet it has undeniably been the cornerstone of my ability to guide others as a self-made Emotional Resilience Coach and Certified Advanced Heart-Centered Hypnotherapist. When I call my energy back into my core, I’m not just staying present—I’m reclaiming my power.
In the present moment, there is no “right” or “wrong.” There’s only the truth of what is, and that truth silences the critic inside. The internal critic that used to say, “You’re not good enough” or “You don’t know enough” fades into the background. It’s absolutely powerless when I’m fully present. Even moments of extreme happiness—when I feel like I’ve finally got it all “right” can just as easily pull me out of my center. But by staying rooted, I stop fear, judgment, and even the heights of elation from pulling me away from what matters: my clients and their healing journeys. This practice keeps me from getting caught up in comparison, doubt, or the pressure to be “perfect.” With so many brilliant mental giants in the health and wellness fields, I can say very humbly just how hard of a lesson this has been for me to learn.
One pivotal turning point came when my brilliant friend, Zack Crooks, LMHC, CGT, ACHT, owner of The Mental Fitness Center, reminded me, “You have to realize that your worst is actually one of the best experiences for the client—most have never had someone take care of them in that way before.” That hit hard. The people seeking my help don’t need me to be perfect; they just need me to show up for them. I also don’t need to have all the answers—I just need to be fully present and offer what I can. And that’s something I’m not only capable of doing, but it’s who I am at my core.
I’m willing to bet that this kind of willingness lives inside you too. When we are truly passionate about something, we naturally want to contribute. There’s so much to give once the great fears give way to the truth.
So, this isn’t just a story about me—it’s about you. I challenge everyone reading this to stop letting fear, or your nervous system, hijack your passion. Stop comparing yourself to others or feeling ashamed of what you haven’t achieved yet. Instead, rise to the challenge—bring your whole self to the table: your fears, your brilliance, your vulnerabilities, and your strengths, all within the hot seat of presence. Because when you do this, you’ll notice yourself staying centered, no longer giving your power away to comparison or doubt. You’ll realize that no one else can do what you do, the way you do it. Your truest authenticity lives inside the space of presence, and that’s your superpower!
There will never be a “right” or “wrong” when you’re rooted this way. In the present moment, you’re unstoppable.
Now, take a deep breath, you already have everything you need, and begin.
Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?
I am a certified advanced heart-centered hypnotherapist, emotional resilience resource coach and owner of Healing Awareness LLC. My work focuses on helping clients overcome trauma, emotional blocks and unwanted behaviors through techniques like self regulation, heart-centered / regression hypnotherapy, NLP, inner child healing and holotripic breathwork.
What’s most exciting about my practice is the transformation I get to witness in my clients—watching them reconnect with their inner strength, heal deep wounds, and cultivate self-love and resilience is the best thing I could ever do with my time. I’m both humbled and honored by the personal processes and intense transformation I get to witness.
Recently, I’ve been developing workshops focused on emotional regulation and self expression, called, Emotional Resilience Resourcing™ and I’m also excited to offer more resources, such as guided meditation recordings and breathwork tools in the near future.
My upcoming workshop, Emotional Resilience Workshop with Hypnosis at Blue Sky Yoga, can be experienced at a heavily discounted rate. This experience is crafted for individuals who wish to take a deep dive into self-regulation as well as self-expression. I do this by blending hypnosis and expert coaching to create lasting, personal change. Anyone who takes this workshop should also know that this will ready them to do 1:1 trauma healing work with me. Where we use the transformative healing power of hypnotherapy to get to the root cause of any issue, pain, unwanted behavior or blockage.
I’m also exploring ways to expand the physical tools I offer in my practice, like weighted blankets, heat packs, and yoga mats, and possibly branding them as products that my clients can use at home. Each tool is designed to support emotional regulation and self-care, which are cornerstones of my work.
Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
1. Empathy: My ability to hold space for people’s deepest vulnerabilities is one of the most impactful skills I’ve developed. It’s not just about being sympathetic—it’s about being fully present with someone in their pain, without judgment, and allowing them to feel heard and safe.
2. Self-Regulation Techniques: Mastering self-regulation tools like breathwork, gaining personalized internal resources through self hypnotic visualization, and grounding exercises has been key not only for my clients but for my own emotional resilience. Developing these skills allows me to stay centered and guide clients through tough emotional landscapes.
3. Adaptability: Running a solopreneur business and guiding others on their healing journeys has taught me the value of being adaptable. Every client and situation is unique, so learning to be flexible and pivot when needed is essential for growth. If you’re just starting out, my advice is to get comfortable with the idea that things might not go according to plan, and that’s okay. Sometimes “spirit” has a different plan and growth comes through the process of adjusting and learning.
What is the number one obstacle or challenge you are currently facing and what are you doing to try to resolve or overcome this challenge?
The biggest challenge I’m facing right now is balancing my work with my upcoming family changes. With a six and a half year old son and my baby girl due soon, I’m working on building stronger systems and boundaries in my practice so I can be fully present for both my family and my clients. Streamlining administrative tasks and procedures, creating mutual referral relationship programs with other coaches and therapist, as well as making room for passive income, like selling products, is something I’m focusing on to ensure my business can still run smoothly while I take time to adjust to parenting two children.
