We were lucky to catch up with Britt Nicole recently and have shared our conversation below.
Britt, so good to have you with us today. We’ve always been impressed with folks who have a very clear sense of purpose and so maybe we can jump right in and talk about how you found your purpose?
Being a hairstylist, I’ve always had a passion for making people feel confident, and beautiful. A few years ago I started mixing organic ingredients together to grow my own hair. I used the oil mixture on my mom, sisters, and best friend’s hair and they all quickly seen unbelievable results! They encouraged me to sell it because it was too good and they knew I could help so many others see amazing results as well. I made 10 bottles and waited for the results.. In less than 7 days the 10 customers started calling me and telling me how they seen results in the growth of there edges, hair, etc! Word spread rapidly! And before I knew It I was making my hair growth oil by the hundreds! I’ve helped people with balding, alopecia, eczema and so much more see amazing results! I knew then that this was my calling! Every success story, reviews pictures, and comments from my customers let’s me know that im fulfilling my true purpose.
Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?
I specialize in making quality 100% organic hair care and skincare products. Free of sulfates & harsh chemicals! I have a passion for making people feel beautiful & confident!
There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
The three things that impacted me the most along my journey was :
1) The people that I’ve helped and will help in the future.
It brings me great joy to be able to help people feel confident and beautiful that have been struggling with hair loss, alopicia, cancer, and more is truly a blessing. And also the people that use my products simply just to grow their hair longer. The smiles on their face when they see the amazing results keeps me motivated!
2) The people that I inspire. Coming from a small town in Mississippi, and moving 9 hours away to Houston TX I Sometimes feel overwhelmed along the journey, but having people tell me that I inspire them to keep going is something that I will always cherish. Whether it’s coming from other Inspiring business owners, kids, or people back home. I’m grateful to be a inspiration to so many people along my journey.
3) Last but not least my children. They are my biggest motivators. Everyday I strive to show them that even when the odds are against you, even if you come from a small town with not a lot of opportunities, or make mistakes in life. If you focus on your dreams, work hard, and most importantly put your faith in God then anything is possible!
Any advice for folks feeling overwhelmed?
I think it’s important to always practice self care. As a workaholic. I sometimes have a lack of sleep and energy. I often have to remind myself to not burn out. It’s ok to take a break, get a massage. Get a day full of rest, or take a vacation. Your Mental health is so important. Ive learned to just enjoy the journey and take it one day at a time.
