Meet Veronica Gutierrez

We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Veronica Gutierrez. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Veronica below.

Veronica , so great to have you with us and we want to jump right into a really important question. In recent years, it’s become so clear that we’re living through a time where so many folks are lacking self-confidence and self-esteem. So, we’d love to hear about your journey and how you developed your self-confidence and self-esteem.

By nature I have always been confident. The key to confidence as a quote I heard when I was very young. Was in a book tilted “What other people think of me is none of my business” by Terry Cole-Whittaker

Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?

My name is Veronica Gutierrez and I’m an emerging artist. I have been an artist most of my life and then work was the main focus. Before I become a full time artist. I was working as a corporate supervisor for 17 years and along with that I was teaching 3 yoga classes everyday for 15 years. That was my life, until I asked my self a very important question. Which was “Veronica are you happy with what you are doing and if you die tomorrow would you feel you left something good in the world. While going through this difficult time in my life and in 2017 I had a deep meditation, where I saw the images of the SriYantra. At that moment I did not know what that was. After that meditation I decided to quit both my corporate world job along with teaching yoga. I understood that this chapter in this part of my life is closing and to be in gratitude for all the beautiful people I met and learned from and most importantly are the lessons learned to be a better version of my self and by the end of 2017 start of 2018 I started to paint this image for fun and they just kept coming through. I could not stop and so I had many small 12X12 canvas, until someone ask to buy one which was not my intention to do so. Then I saw that they were moving along to peoples homes and the images kept coming to me. Sometimes while driving I would see two images coming through, also at times while connecting with someone and I was just ready and excited to what would come next. I started showing my art at events, doing Iive painting, Since 2017 I have painted 100’s of Sriyantra from 12X12 to 4 feet by 4 feet canvas. They have been shipped all around the world and my vision is to have a SriYantra in every country.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?

The three skills and qualities would be responsibility, diligence and to take action in what I want to happen in my life. As I am the only one that can make them happen. I am grateful for the true friends and family that were by my side to support in this great transition of my life.
I believed the most important that helped me get through any difficulties was to genuinely believe in what I am doing is making me happy and to heal any pains and clear the path to great opportunities I am calling in. Taking care of my health, physically, Mentally and emotionally. Taking care of me first is when I can be open to receive great ideas and motivation.

One of our goals is to help like-minded folks with similar goals connect and so before we go we want to ask if you are looking to partner or collab with others – and if so, what would make the ideal collaborator or partner?

So after really thriving in my art and because this meditation brought this image to me. I am now collaborating with two non-profit organizations Two worlds one planet and Mothers of the Amazon and other charities. So depending who needs assistance I donate 20% off each painting sold to these organizations. Everything is possible when you believe and keep going. Remember you are the only one that can make things happen that you wish for.
